I AM IN LOVE WITH MY BEST FRIEND (PART 1)

My name is Esther and I have been in love with my best friend for God knows how long. My best friend and I have been friends for 15 years. We became friends when I was at the age of 3 years old and he was at the age of 4 years old. His mom is my mothers friend and she is like a mom to me. She treats me like her own daughter and sometimes tease me that I am her daughter in law. She is cool, and I love her a lot. I realise that I was in love with him when we went to Senior High School. Sadly, Kwabena does not have the same feelings for me and has always treated me as a sister. I am my only mothers child and he is the last born among his 3 siblings. His other 2 siblings namely Adwoa and Kwaku are good to me and treat me as their sister. Do you know how it feels to see the guy you love kissing so many girls in front of you? It really hurt a lot and it even hurt more when he tells you that he had sex with them. I know right, it really sounds gross. He is the playboy kind of guy. He has dated so many kinds of girls and his current girlfriend is the daughter of the headmaster of our school. Ama is cool. I like her but I still wish he will dump her. I know I may sound like a b**** but hey you cannot blame me. I have been in love with him for almost 3 years. I have not gone on any date with any guy because of him. To him, any guy that ask me out on a date is not good for me, they just want to sleep with me. He is always overprotective when it comes to me. I know that he is doing it for my own good but sometimes I feel like he is overdoing it. I have never dated anyone, and I will be 18 years next month. I do not even know if I should confess my feelings for him. Sometimes I feel like he feels the same way for me because of how he treats me, but I always tell myself that he does that because he sees me as his sister. I lost my first kiss to him through an accident. We went to a party together and he was drunk. Accidentally we kissed. That was the best day in my life, but it is also the saddest for me. The next day he behaved as if nothing happened on the previous day. I later found out that he does not remember. Yeah to him it did not happened. No, I did not tell him. I kept it to myself. And guess what? Since then, he has always been kissing me whenever he gets drunk. We will go out together, he will get drunk, we will make out on the couch and the next day he will not remember. Till now we still make out whenever he is drunk. At the beginning I was hurt but later I got used to it and enjoyed it a lot. I love him so I started responding to his kisses and touches. Our parents are not aware of what is going on. Him and I live in the same apartment closer to our school. After he make out with me on the couch, I run to my room because I am afraid that he will reject me when he becomes sober. Sometimes I feel bad for making out with my best friend who is in a relationship. I do not know why he always want to go to a party with me even though he has a girlfriend. He always gets drunk whenever we go out and we end up doing the same thing. As much as enjoyed making out with him, I always try to stop him from getting drunk. So, we are about to graduate Senior High School next month and I am still making out with my best friend who is in a relationship. The truth is I do not know if he has the same feelings for me but what I know is I AM IN LOVE WITH MY BEST FRIEND.
