Fated

A New Beginning

"This is gonna be great. I can feel it. I am finally freee~~!", Lisa exclaimed as she flopped down on the bed of their new apartment.

"Ummmm. Not if you break the bed and we have to sleep on the floor on our first night.", Amanda shot back.
Lisa got out of the bed disgruntled at this. "Stop being such a downer, okay? We are going to have a great time. I will personally MAKE SURE of that. Now let's go eat something. I'm starving."

"Ughhhh. But we just had lunch."

"Yeah, like two hours ago! Now c'mon, let's go eat. And besides, we need to check out the place we will be living in. Pleassseeee!!"

"Okay, okay. Fine. What do you want?"

"Ummm, burger. No, no. Wait there's a really famous pizza place near here. We have to go there! I herad the pizza is to die for. Let me go get ready!", Lisa said excitedly at the prospect of getting food.

Amanda just smiled and nodded. Happy to see that her best friend seemed so excited. Her positivity always amazed her. A stark contrast to her own shy and introverted personality. But their personalities meshed really well together. Maybe that was why they had stayed best friends for so long. Maybe opposites do attract. Unlike herself, Lisa was really excited for college. She probably thoughtit would be good for Amanda to start fresh as well. After what happened during graduation, she really did need a fresh start. She was still heart broken over that. But maybe Lisa was right. She needed a fresh start. Start over again. A clean slate.

"Okay, why are you still not ready and why on earth are you staring at the wall? Is there a ghost there?", Lisa joked putting her hands on her slender waist. She had changed into a plain white t-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. She looked effortlessly amazing.

"Haha. Very funny. I was gonna go get ready but you were hogging the bathroom.", Amanda deadpanned and went to get ready.
