The Email

Me and Daphne sat at the table eating breakfast in silence. "I'm going to check my email." I told her. She looked at me. "Okay." she said solemnly. She flipped her long blonde hair back and continued reading a book while eating cereal. I stood up and put my bowl in the sink. Daphne just got out of a tough relationship. This guy, Brandon, had cheated on her twice.the first time she forgave him. second time she yelled at him and he broke up with her. Summary: he's not very nice.

I went upstairs and got on my laptop and signed into twitter. A few days ago,I had entered in a contest. I knew I wouldn't win by the streak of bad luck I've had. But I entered anyways, whatcha got to loose? I looked threw the tweets. They picked a winner! They sent them a email. I opened a new tab and opened up yahoo. Ugh, it seemed forever before it came onto my screen. I logged in quickly. I have many new mail, but I skip them all. I scroll down all the letters. I stop in my tracks when I see it. An email from the Jonas Brothers. No way. I open up the mail and read aloud....to no one but myself.

"To:Lexi Harrington,

congratulations u have one our tour contest. U and one friend may come along with us,and Big Time Rush, on our tour. We can't wait to meet u. We have set arrangements to meet u Saturday. We will discuss when we leave, and when we'll be back, and where we will go. We will need permission from ur parents if ur under the age of 18.See you Saturday!

Sincerely,Joe,Kevin,and Nick Jonas."

Is this real? Is it really happening? I reread it before confirming myself that it is real. I screamed. I heard footsteps running up the stairs. Daphne bursts into the room. "What's wrong,Lexi?" she asked me. "I won!" I practicly screamed. She looked at me confused. "Won what?" she asked. "Won the Jonas Brothers contest! Duh!" I screamed again. Her face fell. Her mouth dropped open and she stared at me. "are u serious. Lexi, do not joke with me." she said. "I'm not joking!" I told her and read her the email. When I finsihed she collapsed onto my bed. "We need to pack!" she said and we both laughed,full of joy.

Could u imagine? A small town girl like me winning this contest? I could barely sleep that night. Its Friday night and were meeting the Jonas Brothers. TOMORROW! That causes for some kind of celsbration,right. Me and Daphne decided to throw a little party with our closest friends. There's not many but it will be fun. We know who were inviting. May, Colton, Megan, and Jake. They were our best friends back in school. We did everything together. I can't wait til tomorrow. Seeing my old buds again and meeting the Jonas Brothers. My life is awesome!
