chapter nine
today i was pranking billie with the "i dont wanna kiss you prank". i've seen a lot of people do this prank on their partners and figured why not give it a try with billie. she loves kissing me and i love kissing her so this is gonna be hard for the both of us.
i heard billie shuffling around upstairs which usually meant she would be coming down the stairs soon. i waited for her tiny figure to walk through the door before getting my game face on and starting the prank.
"hi angel." billie greeted me with a baby voice, wearing only an oversized shirt with panties underneath. damn, this was going to be even harder than i thought.
"hi baby."
billie leaned in for a kiss which i soon dodged which made her kiss my cheek instead. i felt her confused stare burn into my face. i glanced up at her and she leaned in again, attempting to kiss me but i dodged it again.
"why won't you kiss me?" billie asked, a pout on her face and her eyebrows furrowed.
adorable.
"i don't really feel like it, bil." i mumbled, trying to make up an excuse.
"but you always say kissing me is your favourite thing to do." billie pouted, playing with the rings on her fingers.
if she keeps being this cute, i'm gonna have to stop this prank and never stop kissing her.
"it is, baby, just not right now, okay?"
"okay. well i'll be upstairs if you need me." she mumbled, a pout evident on her lips.
she gave me a kiss on the forehead before sighing and walking up the stairs, obviously upset. i felt like such an asshole, i immediately got up off the sofa and ran upstairs.
billie was cuddled up in the blankets with her phone in her hand, a few tears in her eyes but she quickly dried them when i walked in the room. she continued watching the office, not making eye contact with me.
i walked up to the bed and removed the blankets, straddling her waist. i cupped her face with my hands and pushed my lips against hers, missing the feeling of billie's lips on mine. i could taste the salty tears on her cheeks but i didn't care. all that mattered was i was finally kissing the love of my life.
"it was a prank." i admitted as soon as we pulled away.
"you asshole." she said, lightly pushing me as we both laughed.
