My two brothers greeted and the principal offered them seats.

The Principal made me and Salim to narrate what happened and I stammered all through, but Salim talked so steadily I almost hit him to have some shame.

"Mr. Harun, do you have anything to say?" The Principal turned to Salim's father who looked like he was about to pounce on Salim.

When he began to speak, I looked up to make sure he was really the one with that voice. His small voice totally contradicted his serious look.

"I am totally disappointed in Salim and I'm not happy with this. I apologize to the school and the girl for his behaviour. I'm fine with whatever punishment you've decided for him." He finished off with a small sigh.

"Thank you." The Principal said with no expression at all, then she turned to my two brothers.

Ya Farhan looked like he didn't have anything to say so Ya Ali had to come up with a good one.

"Ma, I apologize on behalf of my sister and I hope she learns from whatever punishment you've decided for her. You're a mother to her and I believe you'll make her learn that what she did was wrong, so I think there's no need to beg for leniency." He said and sat back upright. He looked upset.

Ya Aliiii

She smiled a bit then broke the news. She told us she had decided to send us on a two weeks suspension and after that, we'd serve punishments. We were to leave with our guardians immediately after the meeting.

This is not good

I wanted to beg for pardon but didn't find words. I refused to imagine how Maami would react.

We were dismissed and I walked down to my block like a zombie. My three friends rushed towards me as soon as they sighted me. They looked disturbed and when I told them, Aneth hugged me so tight I became scared. It felt like the situation was more serious than I thought.

"Heyy.." my voice cracked.

"Are you gonna miss me this much." I joked and she released me, then she nodded with a sniff.

"Remember they're leaving the country next week and she's changing to a new school?" Maimuna said and my eyes widened.

Aneth had told us just a week before, that her father got transferred from his workplace. He was transferred to a branch in Canada and the whole family would leave with him.

I hugged her and we remained like that for a while. She was a bit taller, and had this model physique that would make you jealous.

"Don't forget me, okay?" She said and I felt tears come down. I was still your crybaby.

I broke the hug because I noticed that the class had gone quiet. Our Math Teacher was around for the next lesson.

Everyone rushed to their seats and I prepared to leave. I packed a few books into my backpack and locked my locker.

The trio took excuse and I was surprised he allowed them. He was too strict to allow three students leave when the class had just begun. Perhaps he knew.

Of course, he's a member of the disciplinary committee.

They walked me down to where my brothers stood in wait for me. They hugged me one after the other and we parted.
