"Sorry, I'm not the one; Sorry, I feel so silly; Sorry, I'm just a teenager..I got the wrong message. Sorry, did I just hear you say wrong idea!??"________
My exams went well, not as hard as I had thought, though the practicals gave me a little headache but I still managed to pass.
My friends and I did some arrangements and cleanups in prep for the two months break. It was just three days away and I couldn't wait.
The two free days were scheduled as hike days by the students union, since we hardly got time for ourselves. Though it was only for us, the first year students, so we'd get familiar with our surroundings.
I was glad because that would be the first time I left school since after five months. My camera would be happy too.Next day, outside the College.
We were all dressed up and ready to enjoy the day. I was on a pink sweatsuit and a pair of white sneakers, then a white cap cap to match.
We set out for the long walk and chatted all the way. Neenah one of my roommates was a Sudanese, so she told us names of places, like the Afra mall, Bits & Bites and other lovely places. We agreed to take some rest around a hillside for a few minutes. Everyone drank water, took selfies, sat, squatted, stood. My friends and I took selfies and made short videos and boomerang.
We had spent about 20minutes and were about to set back when someone set a firecracker in our midst. Almost everyone took to their heels then stopped when they got to know what it was.
Some laughed while others cursed. We set back to school and on our way, someone called my attention."Hey, I think you have a some messages on your back." She said and others chuckled.
"Really, you've got some notes on your back." One of my roommates, Aysha confirmed and passed two lemon sticky notes to me and others came closer to see.
The first one read "Been a while, hope your exams went well?"
Then the second "So, I had to come up with a little distraction to get this to you. I knew you wouldn't run."
The banger..this person must be crazy
"Wow! Who's this?" Neenah asked
"Distraction? Maybe the firecracker." Sophie, my second roommate chipped in.
"Yes, I guess. I don't even know who it is. I've been receiving notes since before exams started." I said with a little irritation.
"Hahha. Maybe he's hitting on you." Hauwa, who had been quiet all this while said and they all giggled.
"But really, only a person in love can go this far. A banger just to get a note to you?" She added.
"Heyyysss. I don't even know their gender." I blushed a little.
"LOL. I'm 99.9% sure it's a He." Neenah said as we stepped into the room.
"Whatever. He's wasting his time." I said placed the notes close to the previous ones.
"Then why are you piling up his notes?" That was Neenah. She was the second talkative after me.
