'You have a sister?'

'Yes,' said Sherlock. He crossed the room and stood in front of the girl. The look he gave her told her to move, but she did not budge. Sherlock sighed, and lifted her up by her arms, and dropped her into the client's chair as John sat down in his.

'Oh, no, no, no, no, no,' she said. 'Don't client-zone me.'

'That's what you are,' said Sherlock. 'Why else would you suddenly appear?'

'You never mentioned a sister...' said John.

'Can't a girl just visit her brother, with no alterior motive?'

'Yes,' said Sherlock, 'but you can't. What do you want?'

'I'm sorry, do either of you want to catch me up?' John chimed in.

'Annika Holmes,' said the girl, extending out her arm. John shook her pale, boney hand.

'John Watson,' said he, still sligjtly confused.

'So, if not as a client,' said Sherlock, 'then why are you here?'

'I'm just saying hello!'

'No, you're not.'

'Okay, fineee,' said Annika, faking defeat. 'I need a bed.'

'And why would I offer one?'

'Because,' Annika said. 'You're my brother.'

'So?'

'Even with him around,' said Annika, eyeing John, who was just watching the conversation. 'Still no sentiment?'

'I assume the same can be said for you?'

'Obviously,' said Annika slyly. 'Still. Haven't slept in a while. Thought I'd give it a go.'

Sherlock eyed the girl for a moment. John did the same, and began noticing the similarities. They both had the same dark hair, the same eyes. They were both so skinny, with defined cheekbones, and the way they looked at each other - analytical and slightly closed off - and the way they spoke.

'Goodbye,' said Sherlock, standing up and indicating to the door. Annika just smiled wryly.

'Wha- no, Annika, stay.' John spoke up. 'You can take my old room.'

Annika just smiled, and walked gracefully into John's old room. John vaguely recalled having not told her where the room was.

'You have a sister?' John said after a moments silence after Sherlock closed the door.'

'Yes, I thought that was pretty obvious.'

'And you never thought to mention her?'

'She's insignificant.'

'Sherlock, the girl turned up at your door asking for a place to stay, and you were going to turn her away,' said John.

'She knew she'd get her way.'

'Why are you so cold towards her?' John asked. 'Why did you think he was a client?'

'She's been completely off the grid for ten years,' said Sherlock. 'Not even Mycroft could find her.'
