"Ya'll can't be serious. Let that girl hamstring us? The dead girl's a time bomb" Daryl ranted to Rick, he had a point too
"She can turn at any moment now you know" I added, crossing my arms over my chest
"What do you suggest then?" Rick asked with some edge in his voice
"Take the shot. Clean, in the brain from here. Hell I can shoot a turkey between the eyes from this distance"
"I can grab Andrea while you do it" I added
"No. For God's sake, let her be" Lori countered
"So that we can lose another person? Good idea Lori" I said sarcastically
"That was her sister Dawn" Lori growled at me
"We all lose people in our lives, grieving over it is just gonna make the loss that much worse!" I said, shocked faces filling the area, I don't usually talk about anything motivational like all these fuckers do but now I have no choice, that girl is gonna turn and be hungry. With that I stalked off into Daryl and I's tent.I heard Daryl and Glenn arguing about where to put the bodies of the dead campers. Glenn went on about not burning our people and all this shit, they're all dead and that's all that matters.
"Ya'll left my brother for dead. You people had this coming!" Daryl shouted
Suddenly, Jacqui started yelling about Jim being bit and all this shit. I walked out of Daryl and I's tent and stood beside him in the background, away from the drama.
A few men grabbed Jim to get a better look at his bite. He was dragged beside the RV as a few circled around and started talking about our situations. Daryl and I walked over, making sure no one made any stupid decisions like they do most of the time.
"I say we put a pickaxe in his head and the dead girl's and be done with it" Daryl said, just as done with this shit as I am
"Is that what you'd want if it were you?" Shane asked him
"Yeah, and I'd thank you while you did it"
"I hate to say it...I never thought I would...But maybe Daryl's right" Dale said, finally his stupid hat isn't blocking the oxygen flow to his brain"Jim's not a monster dale, or some rabid dog" Rick said
"I'm not suggesting..." Dale was soon cut off by Rick
"He's sick. A sick man. We start down that road. Where do we draw the line?"
"The line's pretty clear. Zero tolerance for walkers, or them to be" Daryl growled
"What if we can get him help? I heard the CDC's still up and running" Rick convinced
"I heard that too. Heard a lot of things before the world went to hell" Shane sighed
"They're all dead Rick. Last time I checked the CDC was in the city, and the city was overrun" I snapped
"I agree with Dawn. The CDC is a stretch Rick" Shane said
"Why? If there's any government left, any structure at all, they'd protect the CDC at all costs, wouldn't they? I think it's our best shot...Shelter, protection..." Rick dreamed on
"We all want those things Rick. I don't know how you can't get through your thick head of yours that there's no chance in hell that there is anything left there" I sighed, frustrated with his hope. He has so much hope. The more hope you have the worse the disappointment will be."If we want all those things, now if they exist, they're at the army base. Fort Benning" Shane said
"That's 100 miles in the opposite direction" Lori stated. Tell us something we don't know.
"That is right. But it's away from the hot zone. Now listen to me; if that place is operational, it'll be heavily armed. We'd be safe there" Shane tried convincing us"The military were on the front lines of this thing. They got overrun. We've all seen that. The CDC is our best choice and Jim's only chance" Rick countered Shane
"You go looking for aspirin. Do what you need to do. Someone needs to have some balls and take care of this damn problem!" Daryl said, frustrated and fed-up with these idiots. Just like I was.
In one swift movement, Daryl went to swing at Jim with the axe he had in his hand before Rick held his gun to his head. I aimed my bow right at Rick's head, before I heard Shane aiming his gun at me.
