In theory, Katsuki Bakugou was smart. He was a prestigious actor and model, whom also released his own music, and had a major in Psychological Trauma, and was a registered therapist in his state. It seemed like he was unstoppable... However, you cannot judge someone based on their actions alone.
It all started a cold winter Christmas Eve morning. Izuku Midoryia-Bakugou, (Katsuki's Husband) was just now setting up Christmas decorations. Sure, he may have been a bit late, but he always liked to save his favorites for last... His least favorite being shopping for Christmas dinner, which Katsuki and his mother always cooked. After all, they were the only ones in the family whom could cook more than just pre-frozen meals, such as pizza and pasta. Izuku's mother did however make a mean potato salad...
Izuku hummed 'The Twelve Days Of Christmas' to himself, as he adjusted the same golden star Christmas ornament for the twelfth time. He wanted- NEEDED this Christmas to be perfect. The way Katsuki made his in the past.
The small greenette looked around the living room. He looked at the unlit fireplace (the third one they had). He looked at the bright Christmas tree, and most of all, he looked at the window, smiling at the snow-dusted sky above.
It was already dark, 8:00 PM if Izuku had to guess, and he was sure that Katsuki would be home soon. He quickly bustled around the living room, adjusting, and fidgeting with almost everything, and finally, he lit a match against the brick of the fireplace, dropping the match onto the coals and wood. The flame started off small, weak, and helpless but soon burst into a gorgeous scarlet. Strong, able to get through every task of every day. It reminded Izuku of his Katsuki.
Izuku sat down onto the cream-colored couch in front of the fireplace, the large Christmas tree on his right, the door to the dining room on his left, and the front door to the house on his far-right, and angled toward the left.
The young man tapped his kneecaps with his index fingers and laughed as something small and fluffy curled up on his lap. He looked down to see his white cat Snow, rubbing her head into Izuku's stomach. He laughed, rubbing his fingers all along her soft body.
'Maybe things won't be so bad...' He thought to himself.
Oh boy, did y'all like this? This was originally gonna be a one-shot, but I decided to make it into a full-length story! Hope you enjoy, and leave a comment on the way out the door!
