Chapter 91

George and his team subdued the woman.  "Call the police!"

"Marian!" Harry shouted then covered Faith's eyes. "I want that women arrested!" He fumed.

"The police have been called Mr. Styles as well as an ambulance," George said as he came back over to them. His team holding the woman in custody until the police arrived.

 Kaia was in tears as she held her best friend close. 

Melanie tried not to freak out. "Everyone, please let's make room for the emergency crew when they get here," she said. "And please put your phones away." She didn't want this to be blasted all over social media. 

The crowd couldn't believe what had happened and they did as Melanie asked and put their phones away. 

Kaia looked up at Harry as tears ran down her cheeks.

"Kaia," Harry stammered. "Please, take Faith. I need to be with Marian. Please, I'm sorry," He said as he saw blood running down the side of Marian's head.

 Kaia nodded and took Faith in her arms. Trying to shield her eyes from seeing her mummy but she didn't move far from them. 

George turned towards the door when he heard the paramedics coming in. He led them to Marian and then saw the police following and he went to talk to them and turn over the woman who had assaulted Marian. 

"What happened?" One of the paramedics asked Harry.

"She was hit in the face with a brick. That women over there threw it at her for no good reason! She needs to be locked up," Harry said. "She won't wake up. I need her to wake up!" He watched as they loaded her onto the gurney. "She has to be okay."

"We'll take good care of her," the paramedic said. "Are you able to follow us to the hospital?"

"I'll drive them," George said and looked at Harry and Kaia. "Neither one of you is any shape to drive right now."

Kaia merely nodded and looked at Harry.

"Okay," Harry nodded and followed Kaia towards George's SUV.

Marian had to be okay, he couldn't do this alone. He wasn't capable of touring and being a father. He needed his wife with him.

 They rushed out the back door of the bookstore towards the SUV. "Harry, we need Faith's car seat," Kaia said. She saw his car was parked next to the SUV.

"Shit," Harry said coming out of his daze. He quickly ran over to his car and grabbed the car seat returning to the SUV in mere moments. He looked at Kaia with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry."

 She reached out for his hand. "It's okay," she said and tried to smile through her tears. 

George took the car seat as strapped it into the back and Kaia placed Faith in it and buckled her in. She got in next to her and Harry sat next to her. "Hurry, George."

  "I know, Kaia," George said gently. "Mr. Styles, the woman tbat assaulted Marian has been arrested. The police will be in touch with me when she's booked and charged."

Harry nodded and reached down for Kaia's hand in a move that shocked himself. "Thank you George, I want that woman prosecuted to the full extend of the law."

Kaia held tight to Harry's hand. She was stunned at his gesture. 

"She will be sir," George said. "That attack was unprovoked."

"Harry I'm scared," Kaia said. "She...she hit her so hard...."

 "All that blood," he said.  "I'm really worried Kaia and damn right it was unprovoked. My wife would never hurt anyone." He scowled.  "I need to call my mother. I don't want Faith to see her mother in the hospital. It might scare her."
