3rd pov

It was a sunny afternoon and, as usual, the team began their practice. Everyone was excitedly talking to one another about the upcoming training camp coach had set up for them.

"So, as you all know, tomorrow is the training camp in Tokyo with the other teams , I need you all here by 6:00 am," coach announced

The team decided to play one last 4 on 4 match before leaving to brush up on some new techniques before the camp tomorrow but before they could begin, a small knock came from the door.

Daichi volunteered to get the door and as he swung it open a small girl resembling a lot like Hinata ran past him and rushed over to the actual Hinata

"You're here early. Something happen?" Hinata asked the little girl

"No, my practice ended early so I thought I'd join you guys" Natsu responded

The team gushed over the little girl, cooing to each other over how adorable Natsu is

After the team finished talking about Natsu, resumed their match, and finished with an aggressively quick spike from Ashai, everyone began grabbing their things and Hinata remembered he had to ask coach a question before he left, "oh yeah.. hey coach, can Natsu come along with us to camp? Out parents are outta town and I don't want to leave her alone,"

Coach didn't say anything but nodded lightly

After a long bike ride home, Natsu quickly ran to Hinata's bedroom window and climbed through, not wanting to use the front door due to reasons you'll soon see

"I'm home fath-"  his greeting was quickly cut short by a sharp pain slammed onto his head. He looked at his father who dropped the bottle that hit Hinata's head on the floor

YOUR LATE  his father beamed, grabbing, then chugging down another bottle

Hinata did his best not to retailate and instead sighed as he walked towards his room

"Did sI ay you could go anywhere? Into the living room. Now!"

Hinata hesitantly followed his father's orders and silently watched his dad disappear into his bedroom. He heard the sound of his father rummaging through his drawers and instantly realized what was bound to happen when his father came back out. Memories of his father using the tazer he got from his drunk friends came flooding back.

Hinata flinched when his father stepped through the doorway.

"You lucky little shit," His father said as he walked towards Hinata, "I can't find my goddamn tazer," he continued as he slapped Hinata across the face.

The force was powerful enough to send Hinata flying backwards onto the couch. Hinata held a hand to his bright red cheek and stared at his father, barely containing his rage and desire to fight back.

His father quickly raised his hand once again and laughed loudly when he saw Hinata flinch.

Hinata breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his father had gotten bored and began walking back to his room, still laughing at Hinata.

Hinata waited a few minutes before making his own way back to his room. He quietly closed his bedroom door behind him and remembered his sister still hiding in the closet a few feet from him.

There was a code he used whenever she would hide, a signal of sorts, that let Natsu know everything was okay and that she could emerge from hiding,

"Practice was extra rough today,"

Practice was never that bad, even on the more intense days Hinata still enjoyed it so a saying like this was never actually true, and besides, his father would never suspect anything if Hinata started talking to himself about practice.

Natsu peeked her head out from the closet and immediately noticed the blood dripping down Hinata's forehead. She looked sad, but not surprised. Without a word, she ran to the bathroom and grabbed bandages for Hinata.

Once she had come back to Hinata and helped him with his injury, she gave him a long and tight hug, hoping he would know that she loved him even if their father didn't.

She reluctantly released Hinata after a few minutes of silence and looked up at him. He smiled sweetly back at her and reminded her that she had to pack for the trip.

Soon, the two of them were both packed and ready and quickly collapsed into their beds, exhausted from today and excited for tomorrow...
