Captain James Velasquez, the Captain of the U.S.S Nautilus . He was quite a brave captain. He's been head to head with death. But he isn't like most captains, he is very dedicated and never lets anyone else take responsibility for his mistakes. He always make sure to keep his promises.

1987, January 27th. The day was cold, Captain James was at the dock along with his crew members. They were all saying goodbye to their families, but Captain James was in the ship getting ready because he didn't really have a family. The crew members are his family, he was an orphan, no one really wanted him so he ran away from the orphanage and went to the dock where he was looked after by a captain. But that captain had passed away when Captain James had just turned 20.

Everyone got on board the submarine, "Good morning Captain James." greeted the First mate Harry. Harry was a very polite person but at times of need he is brave and fearless. "Alright is everyone on board the submarine?" asked Captain James. "Yes sir. We are okay to depart." replied Harry. All the crew members went to their stations and they departed from the dock. Today was a normal day of scouting the area in the Antarctic, gathering information of the area to prepare for war.

The radio started buzzing and there was a message, "Come in USS Nautilus, come in. We need all units near the Antarctic Research Facility. There seems to be foreign navy ships." "Everyone get our weapons ready. Warn the other submarines and let's head over there." commanded Captain James. Everyone was rushing around the submarine doing their jobs.

They were getting near to the area but the sky was getting darker and darker as they went. They clouds getting darker as well. Little drops of rain pouring from the sky getting heavier and heavier the closer they got to the eye of the storm. "Um Captain shouldn't we head back? The storm is getting worse and worse." replied Harry. "We must risk our lives to save others. Let's keep going." answered Captain James. "Yes sir." replied Harry.

They were in the eye of the storm, everything seemed to be going fairly well until something jammed the propellers. "Harry, what seems to be the issue?" asked Captain James. "Our propellers were jammed by some ice." answered Harry. "Get the diving team ready to remove the ice.", "But sir wouldn't it be too risky?" asked Harry. "Harry we have to be there quickly. Have faith in the team. Have faith in my decisions." replied Captain James.

The diving team were able to remove the ice but then one of the divers got hit by the propellers and got knocked out. The waves were crashing violently, sharks lurked in the water, this was not a good situation. "Hello, Captain James. One of the members got knocked out by the propellers and seems to be bleeding, the sharks are swarming us we need help." buzzed in one of the divers. "Get someone down there to help, make sure to take care of the sharks as well." was the answer Captain James gave. The backup team were able to get the divers back in safely and give the injured diver the help he needed. This would be the point in the story where it would calm down but quite the opposite happened. There were two icebergs surrounding the submarine. There was no escape. Captain James said "Everyone get into an escape pod and evade this area.", "But Sir one person would be left here there aren't enough escape pods." replied Harry.

"Young Harry, have you heard the words: A good captain always goes down with his ship?" recited Captain James. "But that would mean you won't survive! Please take my seat i'll stay!" replied Harry, in tears. Captain James gave a hug to Harry and said his goodbyes, his purpose in this world was done. Harry entered the escape pod along with the others and they were able to escape. Captain James got out of the submarine. He sighed, "Well this is how it ends. At least I will die doing what I love. The ocean is a something greater than war." He watched the ice bergs as they crashed together with the submarine.

Now this is the end of the story, Harry grew up and followed in Captain James's footsteps, he became the captain of the USS Antarctica. James had no relative or parent but he did have a family. The family that had taken care of him, the family he had taken care of. Captain James was buried in the St George Cathedral.

This is the end of the story of Captain James's voyage.
