Charlie sat in front of his drawing table in the basement as he continued with sketching a drawing on his art journal.

A high pitched scream sounded from above.

The pencil in his hand scribbled roughly as he heard Jessica scream from up in the main house. He uttered some unintelligible curses as he lost concentration for the nth time! and his patience too.

Teeth gritting in frustration, he pushed up from his seat and stormed towards the ladder, taking two steps at a time as he rushed up to the main house.

Jessica had been on and off with screaming about something and if he was to guess, it was some completely irrelevant stuff she was probably doing on her phone.

He had been trying to concentrate on his drawing all evening but failed miserably because of her annoying, persistent, momentary screams.

At first, he just ignored them, really wishing he had his Air-pods with him. But as time passed, his patience began wearing out till it reached it's last straw. Just because he had a sister called Jessica Riedes didn't mean he should start ageing before due.

On reaching her door, he took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He had to remember she was still his sister and not somebody he was going in to kill. He took another breath before knocking on her door.

"Come in!"

He heard her respond before he turned the knob and opened the door.

Jessica was already in her PJ's, grinning and looking all hyped up as she typed away something on her phone while she sat in her red plush seat, crossed legged. Did she even notice he came in?

"Jessica," he called in the calmest way possible.

He wasn't sure but it took like a moment before she finally tore her eyes from her phone and looked up. What exactly was this girl's problem?

"Oh, hi Char. Do you need something?" She quickly asked before returning her attention to her phone. He gave an amazed breath. Calm down Charlie, just calm down.

"I heard your screams from the basement, mind explaining why?" He asked, trying hard to keep the edge from his voice.

She quickly looked up and smiled so wide he wondered if her lips could go anymore inches. "Oh Char! you won't believe that Simone was just at Burger king some few moments ago!" She chirped excitedly as she stood up making over dramatic hand gestures.

Did she say few moments ago? He just stared at her incredibly.

He had been sitting his ass- on a wooden basement chair- for hours- trying hard to concentrate and tolerate her screams- just beause of some lame news on social media?!

She slumped her shoulders "What? why are you staring at me like that?" She asked in confusion.

"Any other reason?" He asked with an eerie calm.

"No...." She answered carefully with further confusion.

That was it. He was going to kill this girl!

"You little...." all self restraint was gone as he edged closer to attack her.

She shrieked with wide eyes before scurrying into her bathroom and locking it shut.
