The Lucky One

Chapter 1

I woke up to my mom calling me downstairs, "Belly we are leaving in an hour come eat breakfast." I got up and threw on an oversized sweatshirt and went downstairs "morning mom" I said and grabbed a bowl of cereal to eat. "Morning bean are you packed?" She asked while putting her hair up in a ponytail, "um yeah I'm packed I'll put my stuff in the car soon." Steven walked in "your college boy is ready!" Steven said dancing into the kitchen, I giggled and said "would you shut up about college already." Steven rolled his eyes and with a smirk grin he said with the girliest voice I heard, "oh Conrad kiss me I love you kiss me kiss me" I glared at him and yelled "shut up Steven!" Then I hit him as hard as I could and went to my room. 

Since I was 10 years old I had a crush on Conrad and of course everyone knew but Conrad never did. I was 16 now and I've grew up I'm not Steven's little sister anymore I don't wear glasses and I don't wear make up like other girls do but I was ok with that because I was just me. I changed into jean shorts and a crop top t-shirt then, grabbed my bag and a suitcase then went back downstairs to put it in the car. Steven tried to get me to change my outfit but I just told him no. We got into the car with our mom in the backseat and Steven in driver seat, he started the car and drove. I opened the window and stuck my head out the window like I always did on the drive to the beach house, me and Steven were messing around with each other then he asked. "So Belly do you still like Conrad? I know I was messing around before but do you?" I looked at Steven and thought for a moment, I did like Conrad he was someone who I dreamed about being with but he never showed interest in me. Finally I opened my mouth and said, "no I'm over the crush Steven" then I turned the radio on and started singing along.

Hours went by and we were 3 minutes away from the beach house, I was so excited I couldn't wait to see the boys and Susanna. Susanna was like my second mom to me she was the one I went to when I was sad or just needed to talk, she always knows the right thing to say. We pulled up to the beach house and Steven honked the horn 3 times, mom was the first one to get out of the car then Steven. I was the last one to get out then I saw Conrad he looked different. "Hey belly" Conrad said giving me a slight hug "hey con" I said back to him giving a small hug back and smiled. "Look who grew up!" I heard Jeremiah say as he picked me up spinning me around, I giggled and smiled. "Hey Jer" I said and looked him, he smiled back at me and he looked different too, but he never really changed, he was the same old Jeremiah my best friend.

Jeremiah's P.O.V.
I heard a car pull up to the house, I was excited to see Belly and Steven mostly Belly. Me and Conrad walked outside we both said hi to Steven and Laurel. I gave Laurel a hug and told her that mom was inside, when I looked back at the car she stepped out of the car. Belly looked older different, she looked beautiful that I just wanted to grab her and kiss her but I didn't. Conrad was talking to her and I waited for my turn, but I couldn't wait, "look who's all grown up" I blurred out picking her up and spinning her, she giggled smiling and that giggle made me melt. "Hey Jer" she said and all I could say was "hey bellybutton" and I smiled she always made me smile even when I was upset she knew exactly how to cheer me up. "Here let's me take these to your room" I said acting like a butler and she giggled "well thank you kind sir" she said as she holds my arm walking inside together. She just looked so beautiful I want her to be mine but I knew she liked Conrad so I might not have a chance with the girl of my dreams.

I put her bag and suitcase in her room, "wanna go for a swim?" I asked with my heart beating out of my chest while looking at her. "Sure I'll meet you at the pool in 5" I nodded and walked out to change and then I had an idea to know for sure this was the same Belly. I ran to Conrad and Steven and said "hey bellyflop?" Steven smirked before answering, "oh yeah bellyflop, con?" "What a great way to start the summer right? Let's go." We all went outside waiting for Belly, then she walked out she was wearing a one piece bathing suit I just wish she was a little more confident in herself to show a little more skin but she still looked beautiful.
