Wings of Fire Dragonslayer #2 the Indestructible City

Murderbasket

So this was going to be really hard for Leaf and Ivy, but I'm not going to tell you how they did it. It would take more chapters then i'm willing to write for that. This is going to be over a 1000 words, and will be from ONLY Md's (Murderbasket) (or Db) (Deathbringer) point of view. A real chapter!! Also, we are assuming that Leaf and every one else went to the rainforest, and went to the most important looking dragon. They also have a basic understanding of Dragon from Wren. Also, I forgot to mention this the first two chapters, disclaimer, none of these charaters belong to me. Not even the world belongs to me.

Deathbringer was tired. He had stayed up all night because he had THOUGHT he had heard a weird noise in the jungle, and was protecting Glory though the night. Deathbringer thought that Glory was a very good queen, and that she knew what she was doing. Not to mention he had a crush on her... but he couldn't think like that!!!! Glory was a queen, and he was... him. Her bodyguard. The only person that wouldn't care was Wren. Wren! He hadn't thought about her for a while. He wondered where she was. What she was doing. After all, she was 3/4 of the reason that he didn't kill Glory. At the beginning. He would NEVER kill Glory now. The other 1/4 was that he knew that it was her, the ice dragon. And she had done a pretty good impression. Suddenly he got one of those bodyguard feelings. That feeling from their charge is in danger. He rushed to her. 5 little scavengers where trying to wake her up!! 

     "What are you doing?!!?" He growled at them. To them, it would sound only like a growl, but he didn't take any chances after Wren. Suddenly, one spoke. The scavenger looked sad.

"Who you????" The scavenger said. Deathbringer was shocked. He thought only Wren was smart enough. But these scavengers seemed to only have a basic understanding. The scavenger spoke again.

"Murderbasket??" He nodded. The scavengers seemed happy all of a sudden. ALL of them. They looked like they thought HE could solve all of their problems. Or at least one. 

"Did Wren send you?" he asked the scavengers. That was the only way they would know him. They all nodded, but suddenly, at the mention of her name, the one he had been taking with, burst into tears. Another female scavenger spoke in his place. 

"Wren go poof!" He was confused. What did poof mean? the scavenger saw his confusion and tried again.

"Wren fly no come back!!" Deathbringer gasped. Wren had disappeared!! He wanted to help them, but he wasn't sure he could. He woke Glory. He then said, 

"Can I take a leave for a vacation/hunt for friend?

"Who's the friend?" 

"I promised I wouldn't tell anyone, but let me check something first." He turned to the scavengers.

"How do you know about me? Did Wren tell you?"

"No, dragon Sky tell us." He thought for a moment. This "Sky" knowing was her breaking the promise, but he suspected that he was the one she was rescuing. That meant she HAD to tell Sky, how else would she be able to explain how she got there so fast. Wasn't breaking the promise, by rules. He turned back to Glory. 

"I can't tell you why, but I need to take a leave to find a friend of mine who is missing."

"How long do you think this leave will take?" She asked, trying probably to counter his argument. It wasn't going to work.

"I do not know, at least a month," he said, glancing at the scavengers, who nodded their heads. He continued.

"But it is very urgent. This friend is the reason you are alive today."

"Okay, now I REALLY got to hear the story of how you too met up."

"I can't tell you, I made a promise to her."

"Well did she break the promise? Then you could."

"She did once, but she had too, so it is fine." He looked at her hopefully, hoping she could feel his dread. It would help along this conversation a lot. She sighed.

"Fine, but when you rescue this friend, I want to meet her. And hear the story of how you guys meet, and why she is the reason you didn't kill me. I still don't think if you wanted too you could have though."

"Thank you Glory. But, you have to have twice as many rainwing guards until I come back. Please." 

"While you can't stop me from not, I promise if ANYTHING weird happens I'll double my guard." Deathbringer snorted.

"That would be the day. But thank you. This friend means a lot to me. Shes actually why I'm afriad of scavengers."

"Now I am POSITIVE I have to meet her. Anyone who can make you AFRAID of something is someone I like."

"Haha very funny your highness." He said sarcastically. She raised a eyebrow at him, and he said sorry. Soon, he was flying with a scavenger atop him, and one in each of his claws. He felt weird. Soon, a scavenger told him to land near one of the two human settlements to shoot flaming things at dragons. The scavengers started to talk again, and choose a plan. It didn't involve him, and a few hours after they left, a scavenger with their hands and feet tied up stumbled into the clearing, like they were being pushed. For a while, the scavenger argued with someone in the trees probably. It sighed and turned around. It looked super happy though after seeing him. And that was when he remembered who this scavenger was. The scavenger, was Wren.

Hey not real readers! As you can see, I've chosen to torture you with this chapter. Sorry for not updating in SO LONG. I could never find time! This week though, there will for sure be at least one more update. Next chapter I'm going to tell you what happened with Wren and Undauntable. One last thing. This story is going to have Wren and Undauntable getting together. The next chapter will also tell you what happened to Sky. He didn't go back to Valor because he was waiting for Wren, but what he does while he waits and worries is it. He waits and worries.
