Ch 1.1 (Re:) The Twin Tailed Fox. The Beginning of The Story!

"Let's start the plan, shall we?" I asked the two fellow monsters that stood behind me while both of my white fluffy tails were wagging around. We overlooked four travelers wandering in the forest as we were standing on top of the trees, we were probably in the middle of the forest, waiting on the spot where humans would occasionally pass through.

Signaling my friends to start the plan, the violet haired girl behind me with a pair of furry ears and a fluffy tail jumped down, the red fox like makeup on her face slowly disappears along with the tails and ears, as her pale skin tone slowly dialed into a more human-ish color, making her disguise more unnoticeable.

She approached the four travelers as the kimono she was wearing slowly became tattered. It's a technique that the elder taught us to deceive others, and Ayumu, which is her name by the way, excels at it completely. Her violet hair that reached her waist was slowly dyed blonde on every step she took, and as soon as she was near enough for the travelers to notice, she cried out "Monsters! Monsters!" immediately getting their attention.

"Heh, monsters huh? Show us the way, we'll slaughter them for you," One of them replied, he doesn't seem to be that strong, but let's label him Traveler A for now. He was holding a giant sword that was strapped on his back as his muscles ached in every movement. How gross.

"O-over here," Ayumu followed, guiding them deeper into the forest as me and the other monster behind followed them silently. We were jumping from branch to branch, only aiming for the sturdy ones that won't budge even when stepped on. Eventually, they arrived in a place that was still inside the forest but wasn't actually filled with trees, probably just surrounded by it.

"Hey, where're the monsters you were talking about," A different traveler spoke out, winding up his bow, as he was ready to shoot at anytime. I'm labeling him as Traveler B.

With a snap of my fingers, The monster behind me immediately jumped down from the tree, landing on all fours, as his silver tail wagged around, digging his paw-like hands into the ground. The fall was enough for a few leaves to rustle, causing the travelers to switch their sights away from Ayumu and towards the source.

With that, Ayumu took the opportunity as she scurried off. While the fellow monster, who's name is Vesper, immediately dashed towards the travelers, targeting the one that seemed the weakest, Traveler C who shabbily carried a sword with him.

With a swift movement, the shabby traveler could only be seen in pieces, his whole body got torn apart as Vesper passed through, hiding immediately behind the set of trees around them as soon as he dealt the damage.

"Kyaa!" The female traveler shrieked, noticing her friend in pieces. Should I label her as Traveler D? Or C since the previous one just died? I'll go with G for girl.

"Eh? That was pretty fast," Traveler A commented, kicking the severed head as if it was nothing. Like I said, it seems he's not that strong, but I guess he's experienced things like those. His other companions are panicking like hell though.

"Keep your guards up, we'll never know when that sly monster will attack," He added, finally bringing out the sword from his back as he stood guard. traveler B responding as he winded up his bow again, while Traveler G hid behind the two, no skill or experience whatsoever huh?

Anyways, since they're probably expecting an attack from Vesper, I'll make my move now and attack from above!

Taking the katana out of it's sheathe at my back, I jump from the branch I stood on as I fell towards the travelers. "From above!?" Traveler B reacted as I neared them, releasing the arrow as it merely grazed my cheek, but managing to leave a wound. Traveler A had trouble repositioning himself as I immediately sent out five successive slashes before I landed.
