Katlyn woke up with a start. She didn't have a pounding headache, thank god. She got up and tried to remmeber all that she had said to Hoseok before she blacked out. As she remembered, an image stuck to her. Is was bleary and unclear but she remembered telling him about Thomas before she completely blacked out. She must've told him more. She had cried in his arms. She was a truthful drunk, and she also was bipolar too.
Katlyn got put of her new bed and walked down stairs, it was 10:27. She had gotten some sleep then, even if she couldn't feel it due to her black out. She didnt remember falling asleep. She remembered the last couple seconds and then opened her eyes to her bedroom. She muttered to herself about irresponsibility come with consequences.
She smelt breakfast down in the kitchen. Right, she had woken up Hoseok on accident. She sighed both mentally and physically before walking into the kitchen. Hoseok had the table set and was piling food onto his plate. She stumbled her toe on a chair causing him to look up.
"Good morning," he greeted with a sweet smile.
"Good morning," She lied, her morning was anything but good.
"Want some coffee?" He offered.
She stared at the alien in front of her. Did he somehow decide that the early morning was something not to question? Katlyn knew she'd be asking for the sake her own child.
With the thought of having a child came Thomas, and after the thought of Thomas came a frown. Hoseok instantly noticed it. Hoseok held the cup of coffee up to her. He only smiled brighter when she took it.
"Theres sugar in the cabinet next to the fridge and creamer in the fridge," he told her. She shook her head and drank it black. The act surprised him. He thought she may have wanted it least sweetened or flavored.
"You like it black?" He chuckled at her.
"I can't drink it with sugar or creamer without a stomach ache. It doesn't make sense, trust me, I know," she replied.
"About last night," Hoseok started. He noticed the deep blush on Katlyn's face as she set her mug on the table. "You slammed the door right on my face."
Her face fell. She looked worried. "I'm so, so sorry," she groaned.
"It's okay, you didn't hurt anyone," He reassured her.
"I'm not violent when I'm drunk," Katlyn assured him.
"I wouldn't assume that," he frowned, wondering where that came from.
"Right," she muttered before taking a long drink from her coffee. She set it down again and shook her bangs out of her face. He liked how her curls framed her face messily. He didnt see many girls with natural curls very often.
"I have to go soon," he told her. "Hobi should be waking up soon."
"Okay, I'll take care of him," a smile slowly spread her face and he turned around before grabbing a yogurt from the fridge and sitting down at the dining table.
"Join me for breakfast?" He asked turning to Katlyn again.
"Yeah, I have a question," she turned away from him before grabbing a yogurt for herself. She joined him.
"What's your question?" He asked her after taking a spoonful of yogurt.
"What did I admit to you last night? I know I said something stupid," she said.
"Well, I know your name is Katlyn, you're 19 and your boyfriend broke up with after you had a miscarriage," he hesitantly said. He wasn't sure if he should've been so honest. "Youre also an ARMY. You didn't have to hide anything from me though. I wasn't really hiring for a nanny, I just felt like you needed somewhere to hide for awhile. It works though, I was supposed to sign the suspension contract today. Since you showed up though and because of my white lie, I'm not going to sign it anymore."
"You're not mad that I lied?" She asked.
"No, I lied aswell. You came out with the truth and I decided you to tell the truth since you shared yours," he explained. He was wondering what was going through her mind.
"I'd like us to be honest with each other then, you deserve it for Hobi," she said.
"Well then, I think I might continue calling you Areum. It suits you," admitted. "I also did a background check on you, I knew your name before you told me. I had to do a reverse image search first, but then I learned about the car crash and your boyfriend. I also learned about the miscarriage too. I'm sorry."
He knew she might feel violated but apart of him said he knew she understood. He was curious and he had a child on the line.
"I understand, I would've done the same," she didn't look phased at all.
He sighed in relief. He looked at the clock on the stove and got up. "I have to call off that resignation."
"Good luck!" She said waving him off.
"Goodbye Areum," he told her.
