||Danielle's POV||So, it's the last day of school today and my life seems to be falling apart slowly. Really slowly. I'm already ten minutes late for my biology test and I haven't even had breakfast. Who on earth writes a test on the last day of school? All these science teachers be doing the most.
My skhirt is in a terrible condition and yikes my extras are at the cleaners, so I have to wear a pair I bought in the 8th grade.
Is it just me or is wearing a skhirt, I got in middle school a bad idea? it doesn't really matter right now because I have no choice. I reluctantly sway my body out of my room and down the stairs. But then I sight mom's Gucci bag on the workstation.
"Great mom is still home, I'm in soup if she found out I had a test and I' m still home by 8:30 and she'll never let me leave the house looking like I work at a strip club". I murmured to myself.
We're filthy rich and all but it doesn't mean that they treat us like the Kardashian kids or anything. No, that doesn't happen here, never. Especially not with me, the not so appreciated twin. Yeah, I'm a twin and it sucks 'cos I'm just ten seconds younger than that_______. Never mind. There's a lot of sibling rivalry and I'm pretty sure if we didn't have our separate rooms we would literally pull each others throats out. By we I mean Amber and I . Amber is my twin sister, the girlier twin, outspoken and with a sprinkle of athletic gift to wrap the present. I'm prettier than her though. No contest needed.
...................
I successfully get to the table and i was not spotted ;I'm about to stuff this large chunk of bread in my mouth and get going, I already shoved the pack of milk in my black backpack ready to literally vanish but before I can make any move mom already has her arms on my right shoulder.
"Honey , why are you still home? I saw Amber leave like 30 minutes ago", she smiled.
At this point, I needed a miracle. I turn around slowly, trying to wear a poker face.
"I don't feel so good", I scoffed.
"okay baby let me drop you off at school".
Those were her exact words but that's definitely not what I wanted 'cos if she found out I had a test, she'd know I was lying about being sick. As mom walked towards the workstation-granite counter-tops, to pick up her bag, I vanished.
This was the only chance I had and I was so happy she didn't notice my skhirt. I was too late to even get into the car, I just rode my bike, school was just about 5 blocks away anyways.
So I get to school as fast as I can, just to find out that the tests were cancelled. I'm glad, shocked and _____ I can't even explain the other emotions. "Why didn't we just get this over with already", I groaned.
Why did we even have a test on the last day of school? who does that?
So, I'm at the school gate looking all dead and confused, and then my best friend, Rose, runs up to me and flings her body around me. She is always so clingy. I don't know why though.
"What are you wearing?", Rose said as she stroked my hair and tried to swallow her hideous laughter.
I chuckled, she was a clown, her facial expressions and the sound of her laughter always gave me joy. She was that friend whose laughter was always funnier than the joke.
"Hey, I have another pair you can have" she said with her arms still locked around my neck .Fun fact:Rose is British.
Usually, I push her away, but I didn't this time because she was about to save my life. Luckily, no one noticed me. So I sprinted to the girls' bathroom and waited for my savior. I don't know what took her so long but I was so glad she got me a skhirt.
