Today I sat in front of the mirror to talk with my reflection.
"Kaya mo yan! Mag-aaral ka nang mabuti at magkakaroon ka ng maraming friends"
As a transferee, I need to motivate myself.
Nang ma-check ko if kumpleto na lahat ng gamit ko sa bag, I headed to our dining room to eat my breakfast.
"Good Morning Anak!" Mom greeted while she was holding a ladle and stirring rice from the pan.
I sat down and said "Good Morning Ma". I took a piece of pandesal and dunked it over a cup of hot chocolate. I'm not a coffee person. I don't know why but I become drowsy every time I drink coffee.
"Ready ka na ba?" Mom asked
"Yes, Ma. Don't worry, I'll have new friends for sure!" I cheerfully said
Mom smiled at me. I know she is just worried about me but I am a grown up lady now.
After I ate my breakfast, I headed to the jeepney station going to our school's route .It only takes 15 minutes from our house to the jeepney station so nilalakad ko na lang. Besides, it is a great opportunity to have some little workout session since walking is also a form of exercise. Pumila ako because every rush hour (6-8 am and 5-8 pm) ang hirap makasakay ng jeep so, you have to wait. Welcome to the Philippines! I should've heeded my mom's advice.
At around 7:00 am, I reached school.
My class starts at 8:30 am but I decided to be early so I could familiarize myself about this institution. Well, I think I like it here since it is a private school and I 'm aware that my parents know this offers quality education.
Time passed quickly.
"Ms. Salvador could you please introduce yourself" my teacher asked me to go in front since I was hiding behind the door.
I almost screamed at the top of my lungs to make sure that they will have a good or lively impression but they all look unamused.
"Miss Salvador, you will be seating in that chair" then my teacher pointed the vacant seat that is located at the 1st row, second line to the front, rightmost part near the aisle.
"Bakit ako napunta sa pinakaharapan?" I said to myself while agonizing over my designated seat.
While I am convincing my seat might not be that bad, I felt that the person behind me kicked my chair so I have no choice but to take a glance. Who's that rascal?!
