1. PLANETS
*Introduction
Planets are stars without their own light. For Example, we live on Earth. Earth is a Planet. There are uncountable planets in this Universe. Each of Different colour, different size and different climate. Let's learn about planets!
1.1- Types of Planets in our Solar System
There are eight planets in our solar system: Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune. There's also a dwarf planet named Pluto. Let's Learn about each of them.
(1) Mercury:- Its known as the nearest planet to the sun. Its also known as the smallest planet in our solar system. Many volcanic eruptions happen in this planet, making it hotter and hotter. Its so close to sun that some people believe that Mercury will be totally destroyed by the heat of the sun or by getting closer to sun in nearby future.
(2)Venus:- Even though Mercury is closest planet to our sun, its not the most hottest planet. The hottest planet in our solar system is Venus. Venus is second planet in our solar system closest to sun. Venus is the one and only planet in our solar system whose revolution takes less time than its rotation. Some people and scientists believe that billions and trillions of years before, there was life on Venus and its look was similar to earth. But unfortunately, an asteroid with a very large size falled on Venus and it became very hot, ending the life on it and making it the hottest planet. Many people and scientists don't believe this.
(3) Earth:- Earth is the one and only planet where life exist. On this planet, various kinds of creatures live. It is believed that, millions of years before, there was a carnivorous creature on this earth named 'Dinosaur'. They lived many and many years on this earth. But suddenly, an asteroid which is so large in size started revolving earth, getting closer to it. One day, it hitted the Earth and the Dinosaur life vanished. Because of that one hit, some part of earth got separated from it. By this, it gave rise to our satellite named 'Moon', which we see with our eyes at night. Many people believe this theory but some scientists not.
(4)Mars:- Mars is fourth planet in our solar system. The soil on Mars contains iron. Because of this, Mars appear to have red in colour or reddish planet. Therefore, it is known as the Red Planet. Though it doesn't have gravitational force, some scientists believe that human life can be possible on Mars. But its not scientifically proved yet. They also believe that 'Though there's no water on Mars, there's a huge part of ice and glacier on it. If we somehow manage to melt it, water can be available. The soil on Mars is similar to that of the Earth. So, trees can be planted and Trees=Oxygen and Oxygen=Life.' Many Scientists not believe this.
(5) Jupiter:- Jupiter is fifth planet in our solar system. It's also the biggest planet in our solar system. Its made up of dust and ashes. Due to this, many storms happen on this planet. This planet is out of the asteroid belt.
(6) Saturn:- Saturn is sixth planet in our solar system. The air on this planet contains hydrogen. This planet has more than 60 moons around it and all of they are together shaped like a ring. The biggest moon of this planet is named a 'Titan'.
(7) Uranus:- This planet cannot be seen without a telescope. Earlier, (Including Pluto), solar system is considered to have eight planets because this planet is not visible. Its climate is very cold. All planets (except Venus) rotate right to left. But, Uranus rotate up to down. Its land is full of ice, glaciers and cold water.
(8) Neptune:- Neptune is eight planet in our solar system. It is considered to be the farthest planet in our solar system from the sun. The Climate of this planet is much Colder because sunlight cannot reach so fat. The proportion of water on this planet is greater than proportion of ice and glaciers. It also takes more time to revolve around the sun.
