Chapter 6
"We do not remember days, we remember moments." – Cesare Pavese

"Char I love your room but can you at least make your photos look, I don't know, less all over the place." Chloé says from her spot on the bed as she puts navy nail polish on her nails.
I grin up at her from my spot on the floor. "You know I love the beautiful organized chaos that I've created here." I look back at Nikki's hand that I'm now currently holding. And no not in a romantic gesture, I'm helping her put on red nail polish. I was way too impatient to do mine tonight.
I wasn't lying when I said my room was organized chaos. My walls were painted lavender, possibly my favourite shade of purple; yes I have a favourite shade. You can barely see the actually colour on my walls because they were so full of different posters; some of bands like Why Don't We, 1 Direction, Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer even Queen, I have a wide variety of music. I have movie posters like of the Hogwarts crest, Grease, High School Musical, Rent and probably way too much now that I think about it. Above my bed is my all time favourite poster, a silhouette of the Disneyland castle surrounded by different colours and stars, above my bed and around that are some of my favourite Disney quotes.
My bed was on the right hand side of my room, in front of the small TV mounted on the wall. On the right of that is my white vanity; the mirror is surrounded by random photos of my family and friends and my stuff is scattered all over the top but I'm pretty sure I know exactly what is going on.
My mini walk-in closet is next to the vanity, no I do not want to even explain what is going on in there, and I don't even think you would be able to see Narnia through all the clothes that are scattered in there.
My desk sits on the right side of my bed, now my desk is a place that a person can actually get lost in. There are pens scattered all over, highlighters, markers, every type of stationery that you could possibly not need are in jars in the shelf above my desk. My laptop sits atop my desk closed, which reminds me, I still have an article to write for the school newspaper. Above my desk is a pin board with more photos all over it, some quotes, a few of the articles I wrote for the school that I am pretty proud of and some random trinkets through the years, like ticket stubs from the first movie Josh and I went to, my first Valentines plastic rose that I got anonymously in Freshman year.
But my favourite part of my room is my little mini 'library'. At the back of my room stood my floor to ceiling shelf; it was once a smaller shelf but was spilling books so Dad decided to build me a bigger one. In front of my shelf, on the right sits my purple bean bag where I spend a lot of late nights just reading.
Next to it is the side table where my reading lamp and glasses sits. Next to it is another jar of highlighters and pens. With a stack of post it notes. Yes I am that person.
My room is probably so chaotic to someone who doesn't know me personally, but it's chaotically mine.
"Still though, the pictures would look so much better organized into something cute from a Pinterest or Instagram post." Chloé continues as she blows her nails dry.
Nikki answers her before I can, "Chlo you are probably the only person that gets this bothered by the placement of photos."
Chloé rolls her eyes playfully and glances at the book on my bedside table.
"Char what's this book about? It looks kinda familiar." She picks up the book to show me the cover that shows the title 'All The Bright Places' by Jennifer Niven.
