Day One: for some reason, new year does not feel like “new year”. Every year seems to get even more boring by the year. Has our world changed that much? In the Previous years I would see little children, sitting on their dads shoulders as they watched the fireworks together. But now I see children with their friends instead of family, recording the fireworks on their phone. Instead of having this moment with their loved ones, they would spend their time with people that may or may not betray them later in their lives. Instead of saving the moment they would "save" it on their phones by recording it and posting it on Facebook, Instagram and other different kind of social media. The moments they could of had as their parents would hold on to their shoulders as they say "Lets have a great year" they would waste on their friends as they ask "What's your New Year Resolution?" Can't we just have a moment to put our phone away to enjoy these moments with our family as the exploding sound of the fireworks filled them with joy? Can't we just have this moment to celebrate our hard work and dedication through our the year? Can't we just stay home instead of going out with friends on the New Year just to take this moment to say "Thank you" and "I love you" To their parents? Can't we?
