PRIOR:
Lumin after going 6 years in the academy became extremely skilled with the lance. Lumin was the oldest of 3 brothers at 18 his younger brother even volunteered the year after but died. Lumin's choice to volunteer was encouraged from his father who worked at a jeweler. Lumin was 200 lbs and 6'2 and no surprise he was the favorite to win. Lumin was a funny guy and was very empathetic so it was no surprise he volunteered for a crippled boy who got injured from training. Lumin's district partner: Patina was a volunteer at 16 being extremely skilled with the chain whip. The two became friends easily.
TRAINING:
Patina and Lumin joined the career pack meeting Garrison, and rosette the tributes from 2. Also apart of the career pack this year was Furling, and Sole the youths from 4. Added to the careers during training was the boy from 8: Taylor who was added on because of his size and strength
During the parade the Lumin was covered head to toe in gold paint and wore a black tuxedo while Patina wore the gold but in a nice black dress.
During the evaluation Lumin showed animal calls and his skills with the lance and the sword and got an 11 along with the odds of 3-1
During Lumin's interview Lumin was himself and the capitol loved him he also wore a yellow button up with black pants.
THE ARENA: BLOOD LAKE:
The arena this year was a large flat with a lake in the middle that turned to blood later in the games. The Mutts consisted of humanoid creatures with the bottoms of their bodys cut off that emerged from the lake covered in blood, this was so horrifying in fact that it gave many capitol children nightmares but regardless Icarus Farling did an amazing job and won countless hunger games awards for this arena. The Mutt collection also consisted off large millipedes that would suck blood. The weapons consisted of Lances,Chain Whips,Swords,Knives, Spades,Pitchforks, and Spears.
BLOODBATH:
At the Gong Lumin sprinted off the podium and quickly grabbed a knife on his way to the cornucopia. In the Cornucopia layed a Lance with blue trim and lightning bolts going down the side. Walking out with his prize Lumin Looked as a Band of non careers were overpowering the careers and so Lumin took action and charged with his lance out in front and didn't stop to open his eyes until he felt the thud of the lance impaling a tree. Lumin opened his eyes to see 3 tributes were skewered on the cone shaped weapon. Lumin pulled his lance out of the three victims and went back to throw the girl from 12 to the ground and jab his lance through her skull.
After the bloodbath Sole, Lumin, and Garrison were the only careers left. Taylor had double crossed the careers and devised a plan to team up with a lot of outlying district tributes to kill as many careers as they could but luckily Lumin's charged killed the girls from 10, and 5 and the boy from 12 which scared off the rest of the pack. Lumin shortly after the feat received some beer from a sponsor and a note that read "People in the capitol are going crazy over what you did in the bloodbath enjoy." signed by Jasper who mentored Lumin before the games.
DAY 4:
For the past couple days the careers stayed low with whatever they grabbed from the arena before running to the mountain on the other side of the red lake. Luckily Sole had binoculars and they were able to see that 7 tributes were at the cornucopia in their new alliance. The tributes consisted of the pair from 3, the boy from 10, the Girl from 11, the boy from 5, the girl from 7, and Taylor. Lumin's heart filled with rage at the site of Taylor and he was going to pay.
NIGHT 4:
On night 4 Lumin was awoken by Garrison on his turn to watch " Lumin the lake is changing and the Tributes at the cornucopia are letting out screams." As Lumin looked with Soles binoculars the Lake appeared to be a solid thick red liquid and coming out of the lake were the front half of bloody rotting humans crawling out of the lake and managed to catch the boy from 5 and the girl from 3. These creatures would break out into full on sprints and could easily run down a tribute and eat their flesh. " did...did the lake turn to blood?" stuttered Lumin Garrison Gasped and the now awake Sole took the Binoculars and gazed down " that is definitely blood and those creatures appear to not be able to climb trees because Taylor and Rumen (the boy from 10) are hiding in trees i can't see the rest besides the dead ones." Answered Sole with a scared voice. It appeared that the mountain was safe because the creatures didn't climb trees let alone large rocks and also they stayed relatively close to the lake almost like blood amphibians.
DAY 5:
On day 5 the trio of careers ascended down the mountain as soon as the blood crawlers subsided their frenzy. With no tribute in site Lumin,Garrison, and Sole gorged themselves on the food and water in the cornucopia. When they had their fill they started talking about what to do next but then Taylor,Rumen,Willow(the girl from 7), and Elliot (the boy from 3) Walked into the clearing from the forest "So you didn't die after all" scoffed Taylor. Arrows suddenly flew in from the forest with one hitting Sole right in the heart and her canon went off shortly after. Taylor pulled out a long sword and Rumen took out an axe and walked closely to the pair. Garrison readied his throwing knives before slinging one right into Rumen which landed in his head, Out of anger Taylor ran up and decapitated Garrison. Since Taylor was easily over 6'4 and stocky Lumin wondered how he could get out of this, Luckily Taylor's eyes widened in horror as the blood crawlers leaped onto the shore. This was the distraction Lumin needed and so being right next to the cornucopia he grabbed a pack and a javelin and ran right past the shocked group and as he went past he made eye contact with Rhubarb: the girl from 11 who shot Sole and so he shoved his javelin in her chest and took her bow and ran past her to the other side opposite from the mountain which was a bunch of small hills and trees and as he was out of the clearing and that's when the canons started going off.
MORNING OF DAY 6:
After the day he had much needed sleep while he was hidden in the trees. And that's when He got another sponsor from Jasper which was a pack of cigarettes with the note "Win this for district 2 there are only three tributes left" - signed Hera O'Neal.
Lumin took the trek back only to see an injured Elliott who was laying on the cornucopia crying out in pain as his legs were ripped off and that's when Lumin realized where the blood crawlers were coming from "Please Please kill me i don't want to turn into those things Lumin i know it's you" Cried Elliott, Elliott was a 14 year old blonde boy who was about 5'5 he only got a 4 for his score. Lumin ran and climbed onto the cornucopia and sat with Elliott and that's when Lumin's mind set changed from hunger games to empathy and he asked"Did Taylor die?" " no when i asked for help he laughed and ran off and let those things eat my legs, he is going to hunt down Forest the boy from 11" responded Elliott "I'll Avenge you i'm sorry" Elliott gave a smile and then Lumin jabbed a knife into his temple which killed him instantly. Lumin was rewarded with a sponsor of a flare from district 3 but he didn't know why
FINALE:
On day 7 a canon went off and that's when in the distance a cloud was beginning to rain blood and it was apparently following someone either Forest or Taylor. Lumin was hoping it was Taylor but Lumin wasn't sure if he could take him. Luckily Taylor walked into the clearing bringing the storm of blood with him and this was the final showdown. Lumin threw his Javelin at Taylor and it hit him in the shoulder which angered him, Taylor ran and sliced at Lumin and managed to slice his stomach pretty bad. Lumin had no weapon and so he had to win this bare handed. Taylor sliced at Lumin's legs and managed to get him on the ground and he started choking him. Lumin remembered the Flare and pulled it out of his pocket as he was losing consciousness and blew it in Taylor's face, Taylor let out a shriek and fell off of Lumin and looking at Taylor's face it looked like his face was melting off and his eyes were practically gone. Lumin got up and stared down at Taylor and then stabbed him in the face with his own sword and killed him which declared him the winner and was awarded the best final fight of the decade.
AFTER:
After his win Lumin was awarded the best victor of the decade and district 1 received a lot of nice fabrics from district 8. Lumin began to use morphling but regardless he became an amazing mentor and became a father of a child named Elliott after the young boy he saw suffering in the arena which changed his outlook on life and the world and even started taking trips to district 3 bringing gifts and teaching fighting lessons for the kids. Lumin died in the victor purge.
