"Congratulations guys!" Angelo cheers. Today is their graduation day and he's huddling with his friends since the ceremony has already ended. The sound of other people chatting in the background fills the hall.
"We did it y'all!" Jessy says while raising her fist in the air, expressing her excitement. Her friends giggle because of her reaction. All of them are indeed happy. Their hearts are all filled with nothing but joy.
"I know right. I thought I wouldn't make it." Angelo adds while scratching his neck. His friends frown upon hearing the words from Angelo's mouth.
"Hey stop that! Let's enjoy the moment! Look? Everyone is so happy. Don't be so negative." Addison lightly slaps Angelo's shoulder to cut his negativities off.
"Babe, Addison is right. We've come this far. We should be proud of ourselves!" Avie, Angelo's girlfriend, hooks her arm around Angelo's while patting his back.
"You're right. Let's not think about those stuff. For now, let's be happy!" Kristoff adds. The majority really just wants to enjoy the moment and shake all negativities off.
"Wooohhhh!!!" They all cheer. After sharing a few laughter and exchanging greetings, Jessy opens a new topic.
"So, do you guys have plans? Since, you know, school is over. Plus! It can be a celebration for our success." She says while goofily moving her eyebrows up and down. She even has a wide smile plastered on her lips.
"Great idea! But what do you think should we do?" Addison asks.
"Hmm.. swimming?" Avie suggests. She thinks it's perfect since the weather has been really hot lately.
"Nah, we've done that in the past. We should do something different. Something new." Angelo, whose arm is placed comfortably around Avie's shoulders, states.
"Aww, you're right. Alright, let's not go swimming. So, any suggestions?" Avie agrees.
"Well, how about-" before Angelo could finish what he was about to say, Kristoff interrupts, cutting Angelo's words off.
"Why don't we go outing? I mean, Angelo has a car, right? So we're good. Also, we never tried camping so don't you think we should try it out?" Some nods to this in agreement, while some just smiles in excitement.
"What do you guys think?" Angelo asks, agreeing to what Kristoff suggested.
"AWESOME!" Addison says sassily while raising her index finger in the air, as if it's a wand of some sort, and moving her head side-to-side.
"Yeah! I love that!" Jessy claps in excitement.
"Of course, I'm in!" Avie adds in a girly tone while clinging onto her boyfriend.
"Great!" Kristoff smiles widely.
"But where should we go? There are a lot of cool places but we only have to choose one." The group went silent for a while because of what Angelo said. They are all trying to think of great locations.
"Sta. Ana?" Addison suggests. Uncertainty is evident in her voice.
"Nah, that place isn't suitable for camping." Kristoff says in an a-matter-of-fact tone.
"Oh, okay." Addison tries hard not roll her eyes on Kristoff. Tss. Ugh, what a 'know it all', she thought.
"Hey guys, have you heard of that place called uhh- Fan.. I forgot!" Jessy, who was really thinking hard, finally speaks.
"Fantasma?" Avie asks. She heard about the place a few times before. She even read blogs which were written by tourists expressing the fun they had in that place.
"Yes! That's the place."
"But Jessy, that's a hill! Hello?" Addison rolls her eyes. She's not really the type of girl who likes long walks and adventures. Instead, she's more of a party-goer.
"But Addison, we'll be camping. Hello?" Jessy spats back, mocking Addison. She tried imitating Addison's high-pitched voice but she failed and ended up sounding funny. She even tried to imitate Addison's signature gesture (raising an index finger in the air while moving the head side-to-side) and stressed the pitchiness in the word 'hello?'.
"Whatever-" Angelo cuts Addison off, which pissed her off even more. She couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes with her arms folded across her chest.
"Girls, that's enough. Let's finalize this trip so that we can leave in three days." Angelo's excitement is overflowing and he can't risk arguments among the group. He really wants this to happen.
"So, do you guys agree to go to Fantasma Hill?" Kristoff states in a suggesting tone.
"The name sounds kinda cool so I'm in." Angelo answers, flashing a boyish smirk.
"Well as long as Angelo is going, I'm going." Avie says as she leans her head against Angelo's shoulder. Yep, she sure is clingy.
"Cute. Love you, babe." Angelo chuckles while pinching the tip of Avie's nose. The gesture made the latter blush.
"EEWW!" The rest exclaims. They have been friends for four years and became bare witnesses of Angelo and Avie's two-year relationship, yet they still haven't gotten used to their sweetness to each other.
"Ew. Lovers. Anyway, I'm in." Jessy states while frowning. Unlike Addison and Avie, she is a little boyish. She dislikes girly clothes, make-ups, girl talks and she gets along better with the opposite sex than with women. She thinks most ladies her age are too loud and annoying for 20-year-olds. And to top it all off, romance isn't her thing. She is a firm believer that getting oneself in a relationship is just like walking towards the darkest depths of hell. You can really say that she's not optimistic about romantic relationships.
"I'm in." Kristoff adds after chuckling at Jessy's reaction to the couple's scene from earlier. He turns to Addison who is still acting a little bitchy.
"Addison?"
"What?" Addison raises an eyebrow. She is still bitter because of what happened. She notices that her friends are just looking at her, waiting for her response.
"Ugh. Fine." She sighs and unfolds her arms in defeat.
"YAY!" Avie claps in excitement while lightly jumping in place.
"So it's settled. Fantasma Hill it is." Angelo smiles in relief.
"Fantasma Hill, here we come!" Jessy yells excitedly. This caused some people to look in her direction. She just smiled apologetically to those people. Her friends laughed. They can't blame her, though. They know that they are all looking forward to this trip.
