Chapter 1 - Backstory

(ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ ᴀɢᴏ...)

"Master, come out here!" Pain, minion of Hades, said and the god of the Underworld came out. Inside of a small wooden cardboard box, there was a baby girl with brown hair, freckles, a pink woven blanket, and she was crying. Hades lifted her up and looked at her. When she opened her eyes, her eyes were a chocolate brown and they had golden specks. "Hi sweetie." The god of the Underworld said standing up while smiling softly. "What are you gonna name her, Master?" Panic, the other minion of Hades, asked him. "Seraphina Jade." He said and went inside with his brand new daughter.

(ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ...)

"Seraphina! Come downstairs!" Dad yelled and I came down the stairs. "Yes Papa?" I asked with my left wolf ear going down in confusion while my tail was shaking. I saw him holding a letter and he handed it to me. I opened the envelope and read the letter. I looked up and looked at Dad. "I'm going to Auradon?" I asked. "With your friends." He said. "Won't they suspect that I'm not your daughter but your adopted daughter? Cause none of the gods or you have wolf ears/tail, Papa." I told him. "I know but who cares. You needed a parent to take care of you so I took you in." He said and we hugged. "What if I get bullied at the new school?" I asked. "Let me know and I'll deal with them myself." He said and kissed my head. "I love you, Papa." I said smiling. "I love you too, kiddo. Now go pack!" He said and I went up the stairs.

20 minutes later, I came back downstairs with my stuff and he smiled. "Ready to go to Bargain Castle?" He asked and I nodded. "Pain! Panic! Come on!" He yelled and they came running over. They grabbed my bags and we went to the castle. The wooden double door opened and we went inside. "There you guys are!" Maleficent said and Dad rolled his eyes. Pain & Panic came inside with my stuff and put them by the door. I saw Uma, Harry, & Gil by their parents and Dad sat down at the table in the middle. "Hi, short stuff." Gil said. "Hi, sunshine." I said and we hugged each other. We pulled away and I smiled. I saw Harry and Uma looking like they were jealous at us. I went over to Dad and listened to Maleficent rant about Fairy Godmother's magic wand. I grabbed a apple and took a bite out of it. All of a sudden, someone came rushing in. "What is going on?!" The Evil Queen asked and the person came over to me. "Is everything alright, Aurora?" I asked her.

 "It's James." She said. "What happened with James?" I asked. "He fell off a ladder and hurt his head. He woke up but he's severely hurt." She said and my eyes widened. I went over to my luggage and went through it. I found my backpack and grabbed my sword from Uma. "Give that back!" She said and I left the castle with Aurora. I went inside the hideout and saw the other members. "Where is he? Where is James?" I asked. "He's back there." Catherine said and I went to the back room. I put my bag down and saw James laying on the mattress. "Sera?" He asked. "James, I'm here." I said. "What happened?" He asked. "Aurora came to the Bargain Castle and told me that you fell down a ladder. You hit your head but your severely hurt." I said and put my hand on his cheek.

"Why would she go when we are about to go to Auradon?" Evie asked. "James is one of her members of her group. They are like family and they look up to her as their leader. When one of them gets hurt or injured, she stops whatever she is doing and goes to her hideout." Uma said. The limo horn then honked and we headed to it. We went outside and put our stuff in the back. "She isn't gonna make it, Captain." Harry told Uma. "She's gonna find a way. She always will. Besides, Prince Ben will see that someone is missing." Uma said and we got inside. The limo left to Auradon and we got there. We got out and the boys were arguing. I kicked them and they got up. "Isn't there supposed to be eight of you guys?" A girl with brown hair said. "She had to deal with a issue. She should be here soon." I said. "Okay. Well, welcome to Auradon Prep. I am Fairy Godmother, headmistress." Fairy Godmother said."The fairy godmother? As in, 'Bibbidi-bobbibi-boo?'" I asked. 

"Bibbidi-bobbibi. You know it." Fairy Godmother told me giving me her smile. "Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared, out of nowhere, with that sparkly wand and warm smile. And that sparkly wand." I said. "That was a long time ago. And as I always say, 'don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future.'" She said. "It's so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben." Prince Ben said with his hands together. "Prince Benjamin. Soon to be king." The girl with brown hair said. "You had at me a prince. My mom's a queen which makes me a princess." Evie said and did a curtsy. 

"The Evil Queen has no royal status here and neither do you." The girl with brown hair said. "This is Audrey." Ben said. "Princess Audrey. His girlfriend. Right, Bennyboo?" She asked and held both of his hands. "Ben and Audrey are going to show you all around, and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut. But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews." Fairy Godmother said and was about to leave before stopping.
