Chapter 4 - Attack on Kiten

"You woke me up early for this?" I glare at Mimosa. She just replies with a simple smile

"Captain's orders" She shrugs

I let out a loud groan, taking out my Grimoire. Mimosa came into my room a while ago and woke me up for something "exciting"

~Flash back~

"pssst Y/n wake up" I start to stir awake and meet her eyes

"Mimosa? What are you doing here? It's not even sunrise yet" I let out a yawn and scratch my head

"I know it's early but we're doing something really exciting" 

"Mimosa it's 4am, the sun isn't up and we just got back from a mission. Can I please rest?"

"Come on Y/n pleaseeeeeee" 

~Flashback end~

"Y/n, Mimosa, you're here" Klaus runs up to us and Yuno stays where he is, at least acknowledging our presence.

"Klaus why are we here this early? What does this have to do with the Captain?"

"Captain Vangeance thought it would be a good idea if we did a joint training. Every member of Golden Dawn will be participating"

'You're kidding, you're kidding right?' I sigh internally, plopping myself down on a patch of grass. 

'I just want to go to sleep'

"Y/n, good morning" I look up to see Captain William next to me with a smile. "I hope your stay at Dawn has been good"

"Oh, Good morning Captain. Yes, it's been nice"

"Captain! There's an emergency!" One of the magic knights runs up to him. "There's an attack in a town called Kiten near the capital! It's the Diamond army!"

'Oh shit. They might be back for revenge' I sweat drop. 'I'm going to get an earful from-'

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT Y/N!" Speak of the devil and he shall appear

"We must hurry to save the town" Everyone starts to get on their brooms and we quickly fly towards the capital. In the distance, we can see hoards of soldiers from the Diamond kingdom, but the mana of eight of them sends shivers up my spine.

"They must be the 8 shining soldiers. They're the most powerful knights in their kingdom, their power level is roughly equal to a magic knights captain" Klaus tells Mimosa, Yuno and I. "We should stay in a group"

I nod as we finally arrive, jumping off our brooms. We see hundreds of soldiers attacking the buildings and citizens. 

"On second thought, let's split up. Y/n you're with Yuno"

'Again?' 

I nod in response and see Yuno already using his wind magic. I let out a sigh, jumping on a building near him and taking out my grimoire. 

"It's the Golden Dawn!"

"Got any ideas?"

"Just one. Don't get in my way."

I roll my eyes at his arrogance. "You say that, yet you forget who saved our asses back in the dungeon." He doesn't respond. "That's what I thought. Anyways, we need to get these citizens out of here, or deal with this guy quickly"

Yuno nods. Am I even getting through to him? 

"Let me give you a hand" I look up to see another one of the eight shinning soldiers

"They're mine!"

'There's two now!? Shit'

"Let's see if you can protect your people while fighting" the man named Lagus charges lightning arrows and shoots it. I jump back towards the citizens, ready to defend.
