Love was something to be afraid of. Afraid to fall, to be too ambitious, to chase after her dreams. Love came to this girl many different times. Boys and girls alike sped through her life, never staying long. Each one had a different story, had a different form. A girl with strawberry blonde hair and clear blue eyes came along. Black hair clashing with blonde. Clear eyes with cloudy ones. One innocent and pure, the other had the world change her. Love left, leaving scars that never quite healed. Love came around when hair was long and purple-black. It was a boy who changed her, but was it for better or for worse. When long hair turned green with chin-length edges, it was a girl with brown hair and starry chocolate eyes. She's been through a lot and few knew her story. Who cares about her friends and writes poetry. But Love left again, because it was not the right time. Love came in freshman year, when green and brown hair was shoulder length. He opened her up some, made her realize her worth, made her happy. Late night conversations and jokes in group chats. Love left again, pushing him away from her. Love came around in November of sophomore year, glasses and long brown hair. She went to her concert, gave her flowers, spent time with her, and made memories. The old Love came around when Love took her to a ball. They spotted each other, Love had the similar starry chocolate eyes but her hair was shoulder-length. She seemed brighter now. This is the time, said a voice in her head. But Love did not like the girl's old Love. She stayed with Love until she couldn't no more. Told herself that she would take a year off, rebuild herself. But instead old Love she saw at the ball returned. Their feeling relit, this time the time is right. Instead of waiting she took the opportunity, until it was ripped away. But the girl waits until Love decides to stay. Her true love that will stay by her side. Relighting her flame and scattering stars across her skin with flowers in her hair.
