Beautiful Garden

When looked at me flowers grew out of my chest. The petals in my lungs stopped me from breathing but your voice, as soothing as it was, would be the fertilizer for the roses and thorns around the cage. The winding stems wrapping around my neck and growing petals out of my mouth, muffling the words I wanted to say to you. Stopping me from asking the burning questions that just might calm this raging storm inside of me. A beautiful garden forming between my ribs, bursting out in colors of red, blue, purple, and yellow. Just overflowing over countless hours, days, and months. It feels like I'll never breathe again, but I do every time. Such a beautiful arrangement of flowers, I'll never need a bouquet again. Who knew there were such toxic people that could make someone feel this way. It feels like the flowers will never clear, until they suffocate me and leave my body to slowly rot, when the flowers finally die. That is until you came around, because the flowers cleared with the sound of your voice. I'm able to breathe without feeling like I'm being suffocated. There aren't thorns stabbing in my sides. It's just peace, with flowers entangled in my hair and stars scattered across my skin. Just sitting beside you.-
