While I was trying to go
I went around the corner
I was against the wall
What happened I could not moveI was confused
I was stiff
I was paralyzed
When I looked down I saw the other side of the hall
Then I realized I was a mirror on the wallWhen he found me he only saw a mirror
But I saw confusion
I saw anger
I saw hurt and sadness upon his faceAs the years went by
He married anew
He treated her the same
She wanted to leave to, I could see itWhen they had a child, a girl
I was a happy mirror
She sang and danced to me
She talked at me to herselfI was a sad mirror
When she cried to me
Told me stories of her dad
The story of the loss of her momI was an enraged mirror
When I saw he beat her to
He took his anger out on her
She wanted to leave to, the only difference is she succeededAs the years turned into decades
I was moved
I was stored
I was forgottenI was a broken mirror and I was forever alone
My only comfort was she made it
When he passed she came back
I now sit with her children's childrenI am a happy mirror for now
