Are you pained, O’ anguished heart
Another aggrieved soul hears your lament
Remember this is your first tryst
For him it’s another trial by fire
Can sun complain about an eclipse
Is it worse than moons cursed fate of waxing and waning
Wasn’t he a shadow, as the day advanced
Grew in size, Rang in false promise, raised undue hopes
In a vain attempt, he raced away from the throes of twilight
Only to lose the battle, to inevitable dusk
The star light night beckons you
Each star a little memory of our fleeting association
Night will usher in dreams
Colourless dreams, will find myriad hues
Dream on, my friend
Tomorrow is another day
