Chapter 20:Talking Truth

Javier's Pov:

Naia lifted her hand up, tracing the my soulmark on her neck. Her dark brown eyes stayed trained on her reflection as she asked, "Really, which part?"

"Being impatient, using our bond without explaining it fully first, yelling at you in fear and anger. Then forcing you to sleep without hearing your side of things", I spoke honestly as I lifted a hand up, allowing my fingers to trail up her bare arm.

"I wasn't exactly open and understanding either. I'm sorry for that", Naia turned around to face me, staring up at me with an innocent glint in her eyes.

"Do you forgive me Babygirl?", I asked as my hand trailed further up on her shoulder, resting at the base of her throat.

"Yes, as long as you forgive me", She gave me a small smile as she lifted her hands up my arms to rest on my shoulder, "I got overwhelmed by the special treatment."

"Of course you're forgiven." I whisper before stealing a quick kiss from her lips.

My hand on her neck moved up until I could give her throat a firm squeeze as I spoke in a serious tone, "I will spoil you rotten, little one. You deserve to be spoiled because you are everything to me."

She parted her lips to say something to me, probably to argue against me. I lifted my hands cupping her face, interrupting her before she could start.

"Naia Coleman, you will never change my mind on this. I have waited far too many years to spoil my soulmate and nothing will stop me from doing just that", I allowed my thumbs to trace her cheeks before I spoke again, "I will slow down a bit, for you. As long as you know that you will always be more than enough for me no matter what."

Her eyes started to water, her voice came out slightly trembling, "Y-y-you really only want to spoil me because you think I'm worth it, and I'm yours."

"I said it before and I will say it again, I will take care of you always", I swore to her before I added with a light laugh, "If I could, I would keep you all to myself in here, dressed, fed, healthy, happy, and fucked until you can't move. So that I could bath you after. The only thing you would need to do is relax."

She lifted her hand into my hair, pulling me down into a kiss that sent a searing heat in my veins before she whispered against my lips, "Javier, if you keep being so honest like that I'll never want to leave."

"Don't, stay with me. Let Daddy take care of you", I growled the words in a soft rumble, stealing a kiss between each word.

Before she could answer, I heard her stomach growl with hunger. I gripped her thighs, picking her up before sitting her down on the bed.

"Stay in the room, Baby girl. I'll be back with some food", I ordered softly waiting for her nod of agreement before I quickly went to the kitchen in time to grab the food that the chef just finished preparing.

On my way back to my room Jexk stood in the hall leading to the door to my bedroom. I nearly broke the tray of food I was carrying while I growled at him in warning.

"I only came here to tell you, I will be keeping my distance. I don't know if she's my soulmate too and I'm not ready to find out", Jexk explained as he walked passed me without a second glance, as if I wasn't a threat at all.

Exhaling hard from my nose to push out some of these swirling emotions didn't help much at all. I should be glad that my brother won't be getting in the way, yet I'm more pissed at the fact that he didn't show a hint of fear towards me.

I shook my head hard and focused on getting to my baby girl. When I entered the room, I noticed that she hadn't moved.

The only scents in the room are myself and Naia's, which was a good thing. She moved back on the bed as I approached, placing the tray on the bed before I got on it as well.

"You must find me annoying by now", She spoke her assumption out loud as she played with the hem of her dress, looking down at her lap.

"Why do you think that?", I questioned her as I picked up a square of ambaris and brought it to her lips.

Naia looked at the food before taking a small bite. She moaned at the taste before eating the rest of the square from my fingers.

After she swallowed, she reached for the glass of water. Taking quick sips, I watched as her throat moved with each swallow, mildly worried that she was drinking too fast.

"I say I'm yours but my actions don't reflect that", She bites her lip while staring down at the glass in her hands.

"I don't expect you to accept all this in a day. It is a lot, I really should have slowed things down, explained things more. I will do that now. Tell me your questions, Baby girl", I prompted her to speak her mind, so that I may give her clarity.

Naia finally looked at me since I came into the room with a look of tripadation, "Will I always act violently if my dragon thinks I'm being disrespected? Do I have no control over when that happens? What if I kill someone?"

I gave her a few more ambaris squares, waiting for her to eat to answer her questions, "Yes, it is an instiucactal reaction for Dragons. It takes time and forging a deeper connection with your dragon to change the siverativty of their violence."

"Wha oo ou meen?", She asked around her stuffed mouth of cake, which made each word come out a bit wrong.

"If you ran away from me like you did today, when I was younger and held less of an understanding with my dragon", I paused in my answer as the hypothetical situation played out in my mind.

I would have chased after her, dragged her back by her hair, stuffed her mouth with a large throat choking gag, hung her by her ankles and wiped her pussy.

"You would hate me right now", I tiled my head as I remembered Jexk, "Or not, seeing as you allowed Jexk to touch you."

She drank more water before licking her lips and looking away from me, "I thought he was you at first, He sounded the same, felt the same."

I raised an eyebrow at her, "When you realized he wasn't me, did he force you to go along with him?"

Naia bit her lip and shook her head before explaining, "No. He was a bit forceful but he repeatedly made it clear that I could make him stop if I wanted."
