The next morning, Melissa went around the neighborhood to tell everyone about Aaron's dream. She needed to tell them as soon as possible.

So what if it's 6:30 in the morning?

Katelyn woke up to loud, frantic knocking. She thought there was some sort of emergency, so she ran downstairs, swung the door open to find Melissa.

"Melissa! What is it? Did something happened? Do I need to break someone?!" Katelyn asked.

"Well, something happened." Melissa said, "But it's not what you think. I have news for everyone."

Katelyn narrowed her eyes at Melissa, her adrenaline draining out of her, "And you had to wake me up this early? Is it really that important?"

"YES!" Melissa said. "Just please get Kawaii-Chan. After this, you can sleep till noon for all I care."

It was clear that Melissa wasn't going to let this go, so Katelyn went back upstairs to wake up Kawaii-Chan, which took a solid 10 minutes to do.

Afterwards, Kawaii-Chan and Katelyn followed Melissa to her front yard. Everyone was still in their pajamas, looking just as tired as the two of them.

"Ok, great. Everyone's here, right?" Melissa asked.

"Just tell us why we're here, Melissa." Zane grumbled. "We want to go back to bed."

Melissa rolled her eyes and took a deep breath, "Aaron had a dream last night." She said, "He was with a girl. When he described her to me, it sounded like Aphmau. You know what this means, right?"

There was a brief moment of silence among everyone. Kim was the first one to figure it out, "Aaron's remembering Aphmau!"

Everyone began to freak out over this possibility, especially Kawaii-Chan.

"This is why I wanted to tell you as soon as possible. But whatever we do, we can't tell Aaron anything about who the dream girl is." Melissa said.

There was a stunned silence.

"WHAT?!" Garroth said, "That doesn't making any sense! How else is a blind man going to remember his fiancé?"

"His dream said that she had to remember on his own. I don't know for sure, but we need to call Lucinda and see if she knows anything about this." Melissa explained.

"Kawaii-Chan doesn't think this will be easy for any of us." Kawaii-Chan said, "Are you sure we shouldn't say anything to Aaron?"

"I'm sure."

"Oh, this is gonna be torture!" Garroth groaned.

"I have this in the bag. I'm the best at keeping secrets." Katelyn said with her head held high.

Melissa gave Kawaii-Chan the stink eye, "I'm trusting you all to keep this to yourselves. I'm looking at you, Kawaii-Chan."

Kawaii-Chan pouted. "Hey! I can keep a secret!"

Zane put a hand on her shoulder. "I'll take care of that. I'll just shove a cupcake in your mouth when you're about to spill."

"Aw. You'd really do that for- Hey!"

Everyone went back home to either get ready for the day or go back to sleep.

Aaron normally didn't wake until much later in the day. He's been sleeping more ever since Starlight.

Later that day, Melissa called Lucinda about Aaron's dream.

"You really think he's remembering Aphmau?" Lucinda asked.

"Who else could it be?" Melissa asked, "The girl in his dream sounded a lot like her."

"I'll ask my teachers about this. I don't know if it'll help, but I'll call you if I find anything." Lucinda said.

"Thank you, Lucinda. How's your magic going, by the way?"

"I'm making progress. It's slow, but it's something. I'm able to make something float without the spell sparking!"

"That's great! I'll leave you to it then."

Just as Melissa hung up, Katelyn walked in the room. "Was that Lucinda?"

"Yeah. She's going to ask her teachers about Aaron's dream." Melissa explained.

"How is she with her magic?"

"She's making progress. You seem worried."

"I am. When we were leaving Starlight, she seemed so down. I've never seen her in such a slump before. Magic is her life, and seeing her without it... she seemed so... empty. I just want her to be happy again. It would be a waste if these classes weren't helping her at all."

"You've got a point there."

"Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how's Aaron doing with being blind?" Katelyn asked.

"Well, he's getting around the house on his own, but he still needs help with some things. He wears his bandanna around his eyes most of the time." Melissa replied.

They heard the door close from downstairs as Aaron called out, "Mail's here, Melissa."

Melissa and Katelyn went downstairs to see Aaron with a couple of letters in his hand.

"Here you go. Oh, hey Katelyn." Aaron said.

"How did you know I was here?" Katelyn asked.

"I can see a general dark shape of you, but everything else is still just black."

Melissa and Katelyn looked at each other with wide eyes. Was Aaron's vision coming back too?

"Send a message to Lucinda about this." Melissa whispered.

"Way ahead of you." Katelyn whispered, taking out her phone.

"Why are you guys whispering?" Aaron asked.

"Ugh-ahh. N-nothing! We're not whispering, you're whispering!" Melissa screamed, trying to sound natural.

"Were you really this jumpy as my sister?" Aaron asked.

"Rude." Melissa mumbled.

Melissa grabbed the letters and went through them. They were mostly bills and coupons for things that no one cared about, but one letter was from the Guardian Force.

The first thing she thought was that there was something going on with Travis and Aphmau. She opened the letter and read it to herself.

To whom it may concern,

I don't know which one of you gets this, but whoever does, I hope you're doing alright. Especially Aaron.

I'm writing to let you know that Aphmau and Travis are going home within the week. The more we questioned them the more we realized how little they truly knew.

I also didn't want them to be away from home any more than they have to. Please be good to them and each other. Please keep Aaron's secret. Also, I may have been wrong about his blindness being permanent.

Wish you all the best,

Toby

Melissa's eyes went wide and a smile grew on her face.

"What is it?" Katelyn asked.

Melissa handed Katelyn the letter. Katelyn slowly smiled with small tears welling up in her eyes.

Without warning, Melissa grabbed Katelyn's wrist and dragged her out the door.

"Are they seriously coming home?!" Katelyn asked with small tears running down her face.

"They wouldn't send this if they weren't! This changes everything!" Melissa said.

"Come on! We have to tell the others!" Katelyn said as they ran down the street.

After what felt like forever, they were finally gonna see their friends again. Maybe this meant something for Aaron.
