"Ab yeh ped ko bhi abhi girna tha.." Hitting hard on the steering wheel, Nandini murmured to herself.
Running the wipers and wiping the car glass from inside, Nandini tried to look ahead. There is a huge line of vehicles are waiting in traffic to get to the road clear. Sighing , she looked at her watch. It's past nine, and she's still in traffic waiting for the signal to turn green.She has a long way to go. Someone is waiting at home to have dinner with her. It was the last Saturday of the month, and the end of the month was far worse than we could have imagine. As usual, it left Nandini tired. Adding to the misery, last-minute workloads.

Tapping her toes on a rhythm Nandini focused on the song coming from the radio. After seems like eternity, the signal turned green. In no time Nandini accelerate her engine.
On reaching the destination, Nandini applied the brakes on the car. The great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. It is busy as usual. The airport does not seem to be bothered about the heavy rain falling on the ground. Balancing the packet in her left hand, Nandini opened the umbrella and rushed to the airport only to be stopped by the security guard.
"Arey Nandini beta, aap? Ghadi kaha hai? "
"Bahar rakha hai Viren Kaka, already late ho gai, agar airport mein rakha toh aaj gar nahi jaa paungi" Nandini said, wiping the water droplets from her face.
"Ha ha ha.. woh toh hai, aaj hadse zyada gadiya hai.. " Viren ,the security guard said with a tinge of humor.
Nandini nodded at him with small smile and walked into the airport to finish her work.
