Mia woke up feeling excited and very happy as today ☀ was the first meeting of the 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺 CHRIS AND MIA'S 📖 BOOK CLUB. She stood up from bed and headed straight for the bathroom, brushed her teeth, took her 🛀 bath, got dressed 👗, ran downstairs and asked if the food was ready and she was told that it would be ready in a minute. When it was ready, she ate hurriedly. Her mom was amazed and asked...
Mia's mom: Take small spoonfuls dear, What's the rush?
Mia: Sorry mom. I am just so excited for the meeting of my very own book club and also I don't want to be late for the big test today.
As they chat, Mia's dad hurriedly walks win.
Mia's dad: He walks out the door and then goes to work. Mia was driven by her mom to school. When they arrived, Mia alighted from the 🚗 car, waved goodbye and watched the car move out of sight. Suddenly someone tapped her on her shoulder.
Mia: ??? Who... [turns around]
Chris: Good morning Mia. Are you ready for the first meeting of 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺, CHRIS AND MIA'S BOOK CLUB?! Oh, and for the big test of course?
Mia: [giggles] Thanks to you, I am. So what are we waiting for, let's go. [slips and falls].
Chris: [tries to stop Mia] wait a minute Mia, they just mopped the floors.
Grace and others rush to the scene where Mia slips.
Chris: Mia, can you hear me? Are you okay? [Mia doesn't respond] [Soliloquising] This can't be good.
Grace: You idiot! She won't hear you if she's dying! We need to get help and fast. Chris, go call Miss Cecilia while we take her to the schools' parademics! [talks to everyone], what are you standing around for, Go go go!
Chris: I hope she will be okay.
Chris goes to call Miss Cecilia while the rest carry Mia to the paramedics. On getting to the parademics, they try to revive Mia. After some minutes, she regains consciousness.
Mia: What happened?
Miami: Don't you remember?
Mia: [shakes her head negative]
Miami: Well, in that case... [talking very quickly] You fell and they carried you to the paramedics which is the room you are in now, and they tried to revive you. After some minutes, you woke up. [exhales].
Mia: Slow down. Did all that really happen?
Miami: [nods affirmative]
Mia: [Soliloquising] Why can't I live a normal life like everyone else?
Mia dusts up and her gaze turns to Perry. Perry glows with a smile on his face. Mia is confused as she asks
Mia: What's with the weird smile?
Perry: Nothing, just that you've been unconscious for half an hour and we thought you would never wake up but luckily, you did. [notices that Mia's gaze is focused on the figure up ahead]. Oh! That's just Lila. [calls] Lila!!!
Lila: She's awake? [Perry nods] Thanks goodness, I thought she'd never wake up. Better tell the others she's awake. [Perry leaves and Isabelle enters]
Isabelle: What happened? I was in the hallway when I heard your voices [sights Mia]. She's awake. Thank goodness
Mia: Why are you all acting strange? I just fell unconscious, I didn't die! [she tries to come down from bed]
Just then, Chris walks in with Rover, Perry, Grace, Rosette and Miss Cecilia. They all gather around her and Mia is losing her temper by the minute. Chris tries to separate them.
Chris: Give her space to breathe, please!
Suddenly, the wind blows violently and the sky begins to darken. Mia is mad. Miami tries to calm Mia down.
Miami: Calm down, you don't want to blow your cover.
Mia: [silently] out with the hot 🌋, in with the cool 🗻 [repeatedly]
Mia calms down and immediately, everything goes back to normal. The sky becomes clear, and the violent wind stops. Chris and the rest are astonished.
Chris: What just happened? Does anyone have a reasonable explanation for what just happened?
Mia: Must have been one of those mutatnt weather we see on 📺 TV.
Rosette: I hope you are right.
Miss Cecilia: Anyway, let's go back to the class for the test now that Mia's conscious.
Mia: You mean, you didn't start the test all because of me?
Rover: Yep, we couldn't start the test all because of me.
Mia: I am so sorry for holding you back everyone.
All: You didn't hold us back at all, we care about you.
Mia: Thanks everyone, now let's go write that test.
Everyone leaves except Rosette and Mia is hesitant to leave. Rosette seems to notice that Mia is sad.
Rosette: What's wrong Mia?
Mia: Nothing, I just feel bad for holding you all back.
Rosette: Mia, you don't have to worry about that, we all care about each other and would not rest until one of us that is hurt feels better.
Mia: Even if, I just wish I hadn't been so clumsy. Then, none of this would have happened.
Rosette: You are being to I hard on yourself Mia. Everyone makes mistakes , even me and the others in class. Like one time, Rover came into the class in a hurry and fell face flat into a mouldy sandwich. We made sure he was okay but that was pretty funny.
Mia: [laughing] Did that really happen?
Rosette nods.
Mia: I guess everyone makes mistakes sometimes but I'm gonna fix mine!
Rosette: That's what I'm talking about. C'mon now, let's go back to class for the test before they punish us for lateness. [giggles]
Mia: [walking towards the hallway] Way ahead of you. See you in class!
Rosette: Hey wait for me!
