Chapter One
Was my life always this miserable? I have no friends. Parent's that kicked me out of their house. I was abused since the age of ten. I lost my five year old sister, Caroline,
to Cancer. I was unwanted and I lived in an apartment with a part time job at a flower shop. Ok, so I do have one friend. His name is Tamaki. He's from Fujioka, Japan.
He's eighteen and is gay. I told him that I support him and I was happy for him. Seems others always find their way through tough situations. I have feelings it's just, that I
could really care less about other peoples business. Oh well. I guess I never really wanted to fit in, but it's not like anyone would want to be around me anyway. So, after I
got kicked out of my home and stuff, I needed a job. I tried eight different places and the very last one accepted me. I make a fairly good amount of money, I can still buy
groceries and pay rent. Seven dollars an hour, Baby! Cha-Ching! I shouldn't be congratulating myself, I know. I walked through the sweet smell of the summer breeze
in Miami, Florida, on my way to work. “Ah! Samu-san! Wait!” I looked behind me and found my only friend huffing and puffing as he ran towards. This guy was in total
shape, but, I don't think he has worked out for a while now. “Oy! Tamaki Damn, you're slow.” I laughed, turning around as he finally caught up to me. “Uh? You go to work,
too?” He was still working on his english which was kinda adorable...wait. No! Sam, you are straight! Straight, straight, straight! I nodded my head, “Yeah, I am.” He
smiled, “Can I walk with you?” I looked at him, “Sure, you don't have to ask me.” I laughed again. He laughed too. He was kinda cute, he's rather pale and he's got
gorgeus sky blue eyes. He's also got short brown hair which was so..touchable. “WRONG! No!! Straight! God Damn, I'm frigging straight!” I reminded myself. What is
going on? Somethings happening to me. “Samu-san? You ok?” Tamaki asked waving his hand in front of my face. I smiled and said, “Yeah, I’m ok. Let’s get to work.”
“Sam! Thank goodness you are here! I need your help. A young lady just asked for two dozen roses, could you please go to the storage room and get some?” Abigal, my
boss, asked me. “Sure thing.” I ran to the back and searched for the roses. Two dozen roses? She must have someone special in her life. Well, kudos for her. I
eventually found the roses, I wrapped them up in white tissue paper and headed out of the room. I found a lady with red hair pulled up into a ponytail waiting at the front
desk. “You must be the two dozen roses?” I asked as I approached her. She looked at me and smiled, “Yes! Thank you so much! I’m in a hurry, my mother is in the
hospital, actually she just woke up from her coma, so, yeah.” She pulled out her purse and handed a hundred dollar bill. “Ma’am..I’ll give these to you for just twenty
dollars.” I said to her. Her facial expression was surprising, instead she handed me the hundred, I tried giving the lady her change back but she refused. She took the
roses out of my arms and left. “I wonder what all that was about?” I asked myself. I put the money into the cash register and wrote down some numbers on some paper.
“Excuse me? I need a single Hydrangea.” I looked up and saw the most beautiful man I have ever seen. He looked about 5”9, he has short black hair and his skin looks
extreamely soft. “S-Sure.” I stuttered. Dammit, why did I stutter? I walked out from the register and picked out an elegant purple Hydrangea flower. I walked back over to him
and said, “That’ll be 2.99, sir.” He handed me a five. He smiled as he watched me exchange his money. Oh jeez, please, please stop staring at me, I’m going to go nuts.
Holy frigging crap, could I be into guys? Eww! I’m going to throw up! I handed him his change and the flower, “Thank you, have a wonderful day.” he said smiling and
leaving the building. I waved with a smile. “Hey, Samu-san? Are you gay?” I jumped and saw Tamaki right behind me. “Jeezus! You friggin’ scared me! Don’t do that again!
No! I’m straight, straight as a friggin’ pole.” I retorted. He smiled, “Samu-san...some poles, have dents.” I stared at him, “I am not ‘dented’ I so friggin’ straight. Ok!? S-T-R-
A-I-G-H-T. STRAIGHT.” I snapped. He laughed, clutching his stomach and doubling over, “You sure don’t act straight.” I blushed. Shoot. Am I gay? Ok, so I thought some
guy was friggin’ gorgeuous. And I called Tamaki adorable. Nope, no gay. That’s just being polite.
I think.
