Y/n's pov
I was sitting with the boys while Benny was up to bat he hit it and then he was in a pickle he ran back and forth trying to get to home plate I was yelling "go Benny go" when he got to home plate we all high five him he hugged me (y'all not dating yet ok)
Later
We were walking home cuz Benny's house is next to mine I went straight inside cuz my mom told me before I left to come straight home your baby cousin is here and so is my tio and tia (I'm Mexican so that's what I call my aunts and uncles)
The next day
I couldn't go to the sandlot today because my family was over and if I went my cousins would've followed me but everyone was busy to even notice me so I told my mom I was going to the sandlot she said ok at the sandlot the ball was flying towards me I caught it in my glove and said hey guys they all said " hey it's y/n"or "hey y/n" then some kid who I have never seen before said "who's that" then Benny said "she's our friend y/n this is Scotty smalls smalls this y/n" I said "sup" and he said "hi" then Benny said "yeah ok well let's play some ball" and then they asked me why I was late "ah my cousin was talking about her new boyfriend and how he was so handsome" I said in a annoyed voice they all laughed and then yeah yeah said "yeah yeah and I bet they kissing" " they were and I wanted to throw up"
I sat in the dugout to watch the boys play cuz the had someone playing already when Benny hit the ball to him he didn't catch it he picked up the ball a started to run to deNunez I said "what the hell is he doing" smalls put the ball in Kenny's hand and ran back to his spot Benny had told me that the boys would laugh at him when he threw then Benny pulled my arm to go talk to smalls with him we taught him how to catch and throw
