Chapter 3: Our Enhaning Powers

Our birthday is right around the corner now and everyday we see new changes. The first day was fangs, hormonal changes, and increased speed. The next day, I felt separated somewhat, and so did my twin. The third day, we communicated telepathically when we were least thinking about it. But then today, I felt really hungry. I went downstairs ate almost everything in the fridge and yet i was still hungry. I went to my twins wing entrance. It was open. I followed my twins presence with my new powers, and i ended up in his room. I looked around but didnt see him. I was about to leave but i had a feeling to check the balcony. I moved the curtain and turned the knob. As soon as I opened the door, I confronted blood spots leading to Kevin sitting on the floor, facing the ground.

"Kevin.." I said about to touch him.

As soon as I touched him he snapped his head towards me. His eyes were all black and I couldnt tell where his pupils start and where his iris began. I also noticed that his mouth was bloody and he was holding a now dead squirrel. We locked eyes and his all black eyes began turning to the normal shade of pale brown eyes he was born with.

As if snapping out of hypnotism, he looked at me and the dead squirrel in his hands. "Whats going on with me?" He asked, looking confused.

"I caught you drinking the blood of that squirrel, we locked eyes then your eyes changed colors, and here you are right now" I said giving him a summary of what just happened in the past 5 minutes. I guess it was time to have another chat with dad again.

"I sense that another change has happened between you two. Am I right?" James said as we walked into his office again. We nodded our heads.

"We're craving blood now. Any tips on how we can hunt and not feed on innocent animals like how Micah found a few minutes ago?" Mom and dad were focusing our foreheads as if we had a third eye.

"You guys separated already." They said in unison.

"Wait, that means that we either have a wolf or a beast, right?" They nodded thier heads, yes. "But how do we shift?" They replied quiet quickly.

"They havent spoke to you guys yet. They are just growing, but in about a week, they will start speaking to you and then you have to tame them and then they will teach you how to shift." Wow our wolf/beast can do that. I cant wait till they start talking to us. "Is that all, dad?" He nodded his head.

We were about to exit the room when he said "Oh and... be ready to hunt in about three hours." We silently went back to our wings.

As soon as I walked into my room, my stomach growled. "Are you hungry, Lady Medzindtie?" Abby said and for some reason my eyes were glued to the pulsing blue vein in her neck. I felt shifting in my mouth, and out of instinct, I opened them and out came my fangs. Abby's heart was beating fast and I can almost smell her blood, intoxicating sweet and a hint of fear. I lunged at her and she moved at the last second. She started running through the halls, making random turns, and ended up at a dead end. I advanced slowly and predator like before giving up and lunging at her. But before I reached her, a figure blocked caught me in mid air. While holding me, the person, reached behind and touched Abby's forehead, and she fell to the ground in a soft thud. We were in a dim lit area and the person looked at me and I immediately reconized the eyes. The blue-green eyes with soft purple flecks in them, matches the exact ones I seen in my dream a few weeks ago.

I felt safe and loved in his arms. I just indicated that he was a male because of his tone chest I was currently leaning into. He slowly leaned into me and brushed his lips across mines and fireworks came to life in my stomach. We kissed passionately for a while and then I realized that I was pinned to the wall. "

Mate..." He whispered as he was leaning towards my neck.

He kissed my neck and I felt the skin there getting really hot. Here I am in the dead end part of my wing and I'm making out with someone I dont even know, yet I feel that I known him all my life.

"Micah" I heard Kevin yelling. Without warning, the person backed up and I moaned.

"Dont worry, ill be near. I cant be too far from you since you are my mate. See you soon, Appala" He said before disappearing down the hall.

Momments later Kevin found me in the hall looking fazed. "I sense your connection to me was closed and came to see what was going on." He said.

"I-I think my mate found me." I whispered. Then Kevin switched to telepathy.

"Your mate found you? Thats amazing. Do you know who he is?"

I answered him, no. He then realized that Abby was in an unconscious heap on the floor. "What happened to Abby"  I explained everything that happened after the meeting  to this point where he found me. "Please dont tell mom and dad. Lets just keep this between us ok?" He agreed then left for his wing, because we were going hunting with our parents in less than 30 minutes. Yea I know, time ran fast. So while I was thinking about what to were for the hunt, I got an instant idea that if we were gonna feed, that means we have to use seduction. So I picked an opened black top that only covers my girls, back, and sides, leaving the skin between my girls and the waistline of my jeans.

We all met up in the kingdom courtyard. "Where's the car?" I asked looking around for it.

"When we hunt we dont use the car, we use our powers sweetheart" Alicia said. "Its better not shifting, so all you have to do is follow us."  And then they start of running with inhuman speed. If I were human, all I would see would be a blur of color. Now I started running, at first I was way behind but then time slowed and I caught up. The ends of my top was flapping in the wind. Then mom stopped. We all did.

"Here we are guys. Pick someone and your instincts will do the rest." She said.

I looked around for a moment before seeing that everyone left me. So then I walked around looking for a person that caught my eye.

"Hello, Appala. Nice to see you again." I froze and slowly turned around. It was my mate. A huge smile placed itself on my face. But before I can do anything, I had to know his name.

"What's your name? Of course you already know mines. Both of them." I said while approaching him. " My name is Donnel Knight, prince of the Moonlit kingdom. But my real name is-" I cut him off, because I suddenly, knew his real name. Alloca. But I prefer Donnel better.

"Alloca" I said finishing his sentence. He nodded his head.

"You're hungry" He said simply.

"How do you know?" Because he's our mate of course, a voice in my head said. My wolf/beast is finally speaking to me.

"I can sense it. We havent finished the mating process, but if we did, we could speak telepathically" Donnel said "You can bite me. I wont mind" At that he exposed his neck and my fangs slid out. I nuzzled his neck, taking in his scent, before piercing the skin there. Hot, and delicious blood poured into my mouth and I drinked eagerly.

"Ok, Appala thats enough" He whispered into my ear. I reluctantly pulled off. The two small holes I just made, quickly sealed themselves and it looked like nothing happened there. "I have to leave now, I sense your twin is near. Til we meet again, Appala" He reached for my hand, raised and kissed it before one again, disappering.

Man I already miss him. When are we gonna be mated with him? I cant wait to get my hands on him. My wolf/beast said. I couldn't agree more, I told her.
