"Keep her safe Sapphire, I can't keep her in the village, it's to dangerous." Mia stared deeply into the dragon's icy eyes, as she gently placed her hand on Sapphire's scaled muzzle. The dragon dipped her head in respect.
"I have to go, I have to help save the village, keep her well, I am not sure I will be back." The widow spoke softly as she whipped her hide cloak around and walked out of the cave, into the blizzard of sharp snow.
The dragon let out a hurr of admiration as she gently stroked the young one with her spiky tail. I will be your mentor young one, I will teach you sorcery, I will teach you... and you will be my apprentice.
