Atlantean Vault

Atlantis Outpost

Steppenwolf launches his battle-axe at Arthur hoping to impale his head. Arthur easily dodges the weapon, the water slowing it down tremedously. It ends up imbeded in the pillar behind him.

They fight briefly.

Steppenwolf ultimatly gets what he came for. The Atlantean's mother box. After retrieving his axe, Steppenwolf actives the portal, leaving behind Arthur and Mera as the only surviors.

Mera swims towards Arthur, creating an air bubble.

"You took a hell of a hit. You all right?" Arthur asks in concern.

Mera circles him, "At last," she says sarcastically, "The firstborn of beloved Queen Atlanna,"

Arthur didn't come for this, he turns to leave. "Wait. Please," Mera begs, "I knew her," she says softly.

"Well that makes one of us," He says with pure hatred.

"When my parents fought in the wars, she took me in," Mera tries to persuade to Arthur that his mother was a good person.

"What a saint," Arthur replies with pure sarcasm.

She feels as though he insults her very being, "You dare speak of Queen Atlanna that way?" Mera questions.

"Your Queen left me on my father's doorstep and never gave me another thought," He spits back at her.

Mera was left in disbelief, how can he think such a thing, "Your mother left you to save your life," She informs him, "You cannot imagine how it hurt her. What it cost her." Mera takes a step towards, barring her eyes into him, "But you're not a defenseless child now. It would have been her responsibility to follow that monster to the surface and stop it. Now it's yours," She declares.

"Then I'm going to need something from you," he bargains.

When Bruce and Barry exit the plane, Diana and Calvin are standing on the tarmack.

"You guys find the Cyborg?" Bruce asks.

"We spoke," Diana says bitterly.

Calvin stares at diana before turning to Bruce, "Give him time," he says.

"You must be Barry," Diana shakes his hand, "I'm Diana," She introduces herself with a smile.

"Hi Barry, I'm Diana," He lets go of her hand and looks down to the floor, severly embarassed," that's not right," Barry mumbles under his breath."Great." he sighs.

Calvin holds out his hand, "I'm J'onn J'onzz," Barry looks up at him with amazment, "What's your super-power?"

Calvin smiles.

"I can read minds,"

Barry looks around, "Anyone else hear that?"

"I forgot to mention," Bruce began, "He's a Martian, last of his kind,"

Barry blinks, "Cool," is all he can manage to say.

It seems like minutes had past, but it's only been mer seconds when Diana spoke up, "So this is us?" She question.

Bruce nods, "Yeah. This is us," he answers.

"Oh! Awesome!" Barry points to the Sky.

Each one of them finds there attention on the Batsignal.

"That's the Bat-signal," Barry then points his finger at Bruce unable to hold in his exitment an longer, "That's your-" He cuts himself off realising he has to be discrete about all this information. "Oh. Sorry. That's your signal." He places his finger on his lips in order to hush his tone, "That means we have to go now," He finishes in a whisper.

"Yeah. That's what that means," Bruce mumbles.

"That's so cool," They can hear Barry say as he walks past them.

Lightning flashes in the distance. The rain was just begining to settle as Jim Gordan awaits the arrival of Batman underneath the Batsignal he just lit up for the first time, in forever, it seems. Jim finds his eyes on the familar gargoyle, it happens to be Batman's favorite pirch. Lightning strikes illumanting the area just enough for Jim to see a silohuete.

Batman jumps from his pirch, landing on the rooftop just as Wonder Woman, Barry and J'onn arrives.

Jim squints his eyes, Narrowing in on the figures he doesn't recognise, "How many of you are there?" he asks.

"Not enough,"

"Eight people abducted from or near Star Labs," Jim hands Bruce the child's drawing, "Here's the  perp,"

J'onn looks down at the drawing, "Looks like Parademon's are response," he mumbles.

"Okay," Barry responds, kinda frightened.

"The Parademon's must have caught the scent of a Mother Box. They carried people away to find out what they know," Diana points out.

Batman nods in agreement, " So the eight might still be a live,"

"Nine," a Voice, seemingly to come out of nowhere, says behind them.

Barry jumps, grabbing his suit, "oooh," he lets out a sigh of releaf.

Everyone turns towards the new voice that belongs to Victor Stone, "The head of Star Labs was taken as well," He says stepping foward, joining the groups semi-circle.

Barry eyes him questionably while Diana smiles and says, "You made it,"

"There must be a nest nearby," J'onn speaks up.

"I plotted all the sightings, in Metropolis, Gotham," Jim shakes his head showing them the map, "No pattern I can see," He reveals to them.

Victor looks down at the map, his internal systems, easily configures a location, "The lines on the map don't converge," Victor cuts the detective off, "On land...These lead back to Braxton Island, Between the two cities,"

"Gotham Harbor...These are air vents they all lead down to the tunnel from Metropolis... project that was abandoned in '29..."

Jim turns towards the location in question, silence incases the rooftop, besides the thunder and lightning going off in the background, "Do you think that-?" Jim stops himself, mid-sentence, noting he was no longer in the presence of five people, but one.

And Barry didn't realise that everyone left until, he saw Jim's bewildermant

'Barry let's go,'

A voice sounded in Barry's head. It was none other than J'onn J'onzz. Barry blinks, "Wow. They just...They really just vanished...That's rude," Without even a good-bye, Barry vanishes from Jim Gordon's sight.

Jim blinks once, before raising his eyebrows in confusion. He sighs, thinking he's just seen eveything now.
