Maria's POV
34 years. That's how long it has been since my Major escaped. I knew one day it would happen, but it wasn't going to be easy to escape me. There will be some serious consequences when the Major gets back and his little mate shall burn right before his eyes. I followed his scent to the woods somewhere in Forks, Washington. He was standing with a brunette girl. I could tell she was still human and it would be easy to kill her. I was stalking towards them like a cat would its prey, but a twig snapped under my foot. The next thing I noticed was the major looking towards my hiding spot and he started growling.
Jasper's POV
When I snapped my head towards a place in the woods I noticed Maria standing there looking like she was about to go for the kill. I barely pushed Bella behind me so she couldn't see my eyes go black with a red tint in my vision. I couldn't help but to start growling and getting in a crouch to protect my mate after this bitch decides to show up after 34 years. I could tell she had something up her sleeve by her emotions of determined and secretive. Who knows this will be the day I finish wat was started when I left her little army of newborns.
