It was a fine and peaceful day in the kingdom of Fukorodani, a day like any other, if you will.
Not much was different, aside for a newly crowned king.
Bokuto Koutarou, crowned prince of Fukorodani, had stepped up and taken the throne a few days prior. Alongside him stood his beloved husband and now fellow king, Keiji of the Caelum kingdom, thus uniting their two kingdoms.
News of their wedding spread like wildfire, bringing interest to all the lands. Never had the people heard of two princes marrying each other, let alone ruling a kingdom together as kings.
Their love had brought hope to those around the globe who'd been waiting for a sign to confirm their acceptance.
And, well, Koutarou couldn't be any happier.
"Kou?" Arms wrapped the king's waist, bringing his attention to the man behind him. A faint smile adorned his features as Keiji walked beside him, leaning on the balcony's railing 'what're you thinking about?' He signed.
Keiji, over time, had slowly started to get better at sign language, and jumped at every chance to practice. Koutarou was bothered by this, however, insisting that his husband didn't have to stress over sign language. Keiji would brush him off every time, saying he wanted to.
"You should really stop doing that. I can still read lips, and I can communicate in sign for you" Keiji pouted, huffing "you need to let me be more independent, Kou"
Koutarou chuckled, rolling his eyes "yeah yeah" he ran a hand through the grumpy king's hair, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead "I'm just thinking about... well..." a faint blush spread across his cheeks "what if we had kids?"
Keiji's eyes widened, heart racing. He could barely get his words out.
"K- kids?" Koutarou reddened even more "I- I was just curious, y'know? Like... if we had a kid would their hair be purely black, or would it be mostly white like mine?" He cleared his throat, trying to cut the awkwardness that loomed in the air "it was just a thought, though"
Keiji gave him a soft smile, laughing softly "I mean, if you really want kids, we can always adopt" Koutarou quirked his brows, pleasantly surprised "I mean, we could if you wanted to" "hm? Well, maybe in a few years"
He grinned, liking the thought "our story's only beginning"
He was right. This was just the beginning.
The pair had plenty more to go through, and they had each other. They would protect each other
And they had plenty more hope to give.
