Michael gently laid Luke down as he crawled onto the mattress on his knees. The younger boy was softly carding his fingers through Michael's hair, and Michael couldn't help but close his eyes and lean into the touch. Luke meant everything to him. The room seemed to be soaked in a gorgeous maroon color with ribbons flowing through and tilting in dances around them. It was all so sensual and so perfect that neither boy dared to speak for fear of breaking that magical feeling in the air.

Luke had long since lost his shirt from swimming in the pool outside, so Michael took full advantage by caressing every inch and making an effort to burn the image of him in this state-full of love and lust and oh so vulnerable-into his mind forever. The paleness of his skin, the way he arched toward Michael's body in an effort to gain more contact, it was all so surreal. He leant down to slowly kiss Luke, and from there his left hand supported his weight while his right hand quietly stroked through Luke's hair and down his jawline.

He brushed his lips across Luke's face and found his way to his collarbone, asking for a reaction from the boy, anything to tell him this was okay, this was mutual. Luke stretched away from him to offer more access and let his hands toy with the hem of Michael's shirt and ask for permission to remove it. Michael pulled away and lifted the shirt over his head and threw it through the dancing ribbons to the ground before looking at Luke with one last question.

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely."

This seemed to trigger something in the boys. The long wait for this intimacy suddenly fueling the act and creating a faster, more heated atmosphere. The ribbons shifted to a more vibrant, fiery red in the boys' minds, and soon both were unbuttoning clothes, and revealing more than they ever had to each other. The amount of love and trust was unsurpassed by anything they'd ever felt before, and soon both were completely bare and open in front of their lover. The only thing either was wearing was the matching necklaces Luke had bought for Christmas the year before.

It was obvious what was going to happen, who was going to dominate, and how much was going to be shared, but it seemed to suddenly dawn on the two as Michael reached into the dresser that this was happening. This moment, the moment both have wanted for so long but have never felt ready for, it was happening. And both were as excited as the other to be so close and loving with the other.

Michael achingly slowly prepared Luke. One at a time, easing the younger into the process so as not to hurt him. Luke couldn't help but to softly whine and moan at the contact and grab Michael's hair and side with more force, wanting more than was being given to him even though he knew he needed to be eased into it.

Once Michael was satisfied, he kissed the boy underneath him again, wondering how lucky he must've been when he met him, how the stars must have been aligned perfectly to allow him this pleasure. He gently connected their bodies, frowning slightly at the look of discomfort on Luke's face and the way Luke tensed up before relaxing again.

Luke was a mess by now, hair stuck to his face, eyes shut in ecstasy, everything Michael thought was beautiful. The two boys brought together so intimately, so closely, and yet so gently and carefully brought new love and adoration for the each other. The slow and thought-out moments began to quicken, moans could be heard, hands roamed, and lust-filled words were shared. Then everything seemed to pause. The ribbons stopped dancing, the air stilled. All that continued was the sound of breathing.

Michael released his grip on Luke, and gently parted their bodies while Luke couldn't help but smile in we at his boyfriend. They had both waited for so long, and had never been this close to someone, but this was special. This was why that was all worth it. All the nights alone, all the times one wasn't ready, they were all worth it for this.

As Michael laid next to Luke, the pureness of the love between them was palpable. Curled into each other with looks of adoration plastered across their faces, it was clear that this was it. Neither wanted to ever leave the other, and neither ever would. The quiet room went dark as Luke reached for the light switch, and snuggled his head into Michael's chest. Their heartbeats were nearly on the same rhythm, and there was nothing more that they could want.

Nobody in the world could possibly know what it's like to feel this, and they were sure they were with the only person they'd ever feel this with, and that was okay, because that was what it was all about.

The ribbons slowed their dance, and faded to a calm midnight blue. Some wrapped around the couple and caressed them in an effort to show the wonder of the relationship. Soon the room was filled only with the soft snores of the two. Both of their dreams filled with nothing but happiness and joy.

The last words hung in the air.

"I love you, Luke. I promise I'm going to marry you. Goodnight, sweetheart."
