Zenitsu on winning Nezuko's heart

♡ Zenitsu would always bring Nezuko flowers; each time he brings her some, a fragment of her demon memory of him was triggered, like when he showed her the flowers at the Butterfly Estate at night or when he snuck Shinobu's goldfish just for Nezuko to see

♡ These little memories coming out, though vaguely at first, was drawing her close to Zenitsu, touched that he saw her as an ordinary girl despite being a demon

♡ Everytime Zenitsu would go down the mountain, he would buy Nezuko special trinkets, hair ornaments and/or treats

♡ Nezuko really appreciated his gifts so much and it warmed her heart even more.

♡ She wasn't born particularly wealthy and had always sacrificed her own desires to prioritise her little siblings, hence she was never hopeful to acquire such fancies. That's why she couldn't help but feel happy whenever Zenitsu would come home with gifts for her, because he always thought of her without her even asking.

♡ However, she still worries sometimes because he can get over the top. Tanjirou would often tell Nezuko that Zenitsu would accept more than enough loads of work because he's saving up to buy her something. Nezuko would usually confront Zenitsu about this.

♡ He would reassure her that he's fine and he just merely wanted to give her his best. "Oh, Nezuko-chan, y-you're worried about me?" He cooed in then his tone went a bit serious. "I'm really sorry if I made you worry. I just couldn't help it. It feels really great that I can make someone smile. That I can make you smile! Even in just these little things...It really means so much to me. That's why just by remembering how your face would light up is giving me enough to get going."

♡ Nezuko ended up speechless and blushing. This thoughtful side of him often threw her off guard. "O-okay...but something simple is more okay with me. And..." She would try to hide her face from him out of embarrassment. "Don't overexert yourself please."

♡ Zenitsu would play the shamisen or koto for her. Sometimes he would also sing songs with sweet melody and lyrics.

♡ There were just quiet moments when Zenitsu would tell Nezuko stories about his gramps, his childhood and his dreams. She valued this kind of moment with him the most for this was when she could dive deep into his feelings; this was when she could see the side of him that he wasn't really showing to anyone and this made her feel special.

♡ With Zenitsu, Nezuko felt a different kind of love. It's not brotherly like her brother's, but it's something that was much warmer than friendship. She always loved it when she doted on someone and finally she found that person. With him, she found someone whom she could take care of as much as would never let her feel neglected
