How I Lost Hope

Hiccup's POV

I just got a bracelet for Amelia because it was our three year anniversary. Tonight was gonna be special I had it planned dinner, star gazing, and the bracelet.

I was at work when it was lunch time and I had the rest of the day off. I went to my best friend's office to ask him to have lunch with me.

"Hey Jack lunch wanna come" I asked.

"Of course" he responded while finishing typing.

"What are we having today?" I asked

"Oh I heard about a sandwich place" he responded. I shrugged "why not" I said.

"Hey is it ok if Elsa and Punzie come"

"Ya"

"Cool" he said opening the door. We saw the girls and a new girl with crazy red hair wearing a green shirt and jeans. "Hey Els" Jack said sitting next to her. "Hey Jack" Elsa said kissing him on the cheek.

"Hi Rapunzel" I said looking at her.

"Hey Hiccup this is Merida" Punzie said motioning to the lady with red hair.

"You" I said surprised

"Ya me" she said confused

"What's going on" Punzie asked confused too.

"Ooh wait it's her" Jack said realizing who she was.

"Who is she" Elsa asked completely lost.

"Okay Jack-"

"Wait I remember now" Merida said remembering us "your the guys who spilled the coffee."

"Yea it was Hiccup's fault" Jack said laughing a bit.

"Yea haha" I said tiredly

After lunch they went to Jack's house except Merida and I. "So where are you going" I asked her.

She smiled then said "to see my husband"

"Oh married lady huh" I asked and she smiled "must be a very lucky guy" I said looking away.

"I guess" she said. An awkward silence came until "hope to see you again" she said holding her hand out and I shook it. "Ya see you again" I mumbled to myself smiling.

I walked down the sidewalk to my appartment. When I asked the door our dogs Toothless and Stormfly greeted me. "Hey babe" I said walking to Astrid (her real name is Amelia, Astrid is a nickname). "Ready for tonight" I asked excited.

"Of course" she said with a huge smile.

"Great I got something great planned" I said sitting next ti her holding her hand.

"Just like always" she said with a giggle.

"Ya always" I said smiling.

Later that night I stood there in my nice shirt. When Astrid came out my jaw dropped. "What" she asked walking down to me "you've for something right there" she continued and kissed my cheek. Astrid was wearing a simple brown dress.

We went down stairs to the car and of course being the gentleman I am I opened the door for her. "Mi'lady" I said. "Thank you kind sir" she said with a giggle. When we got there we laughed mostly of the night. After we want to the park. "Hey" I said

"Hi" she said smiling

"I got you a gift" I said nervously

"Hmmm me too" she said resting her head on my shoulder.

I got the box out and gave it to her to open when she opened it her smile appeared back in her face. "Oh Hiccup I love it" she said putting it on.

"I love you" I said taking a breath.

"I love you to now time for your present" she said taking my hand. We want to the car and I sat in the passenger seat while Astrid drove. "Okay ready" she asked me then all bright light and then nothing.
