My door swings open and there stands Maria, the owner of the orphanage I live in. "Alex, your new room mate is here, I'll leave you two to introduce yourselves then come down for dinner." She starts to leave then stops herself. "Oh and play nice". I sigh and turn back toward the window, ignoring the second presence. I put on my headphones and turn the music all the way up. After a few minutes there's a tap on my shoulder, not bothering to turn around I say "Look kid I'm not in the mood to hear the tragic story of how your parents died and how you know your going to get adopted soon and how everything's gonna be just great. Here's a tip, it doesn't happen that way. Now stay out of my way and we will get along just fine." I get up, going to head downstairs, when a voice stops me. "Well that's not playing nice" I whirl around to see not a little kid as I thought, but a boy around my age. The boy has night black hair, mesmerizing green eyes, and what seems to be an everlasting smirk on very plump lips. I would be lying in I said I wasn't even slightly attracted to him. He seems to notice I'm staring at him, because someway somehow his smirk has gotten bigger. Quickly, I put on an emotionless face. "That's because I don't play nice" I said with a smirk and left the room, in search of food. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ "Hey, Alex" A voice sounds from behind me. I turn around to see a short girl with long blonde hair, and bright blue eyes, I've never seen her before. "What" I say, a little too coldly. The girl looks shocked, but quickly recovers. "I'm Mia and I uh heard your hotties room mate so I was wondering if..." she trails off. "Look you can have him, I want absolutely nothing to do with him" I stated then walked away, annoyed. I'm allowed only a few steps before a new voice comes into play "Don't mind her, she doesn't play well with others" they say. That voice, I know that voice, all too well infact. I slowly turn around "What are you doing here, Nick" I spat. He takes a step forward and I take one back. "I came here to talk to you Lex" I shake my head. "You stay away from me and away from here, I told we are done" And with that I rushed to my room. "Rough day huh" Room mate says. "I'm Spencer" I glare. "Well Spencer, I didn't ask for your fucking name did I". I stormed out of the room and started toward the one place I know I'll be able to escape all my problems, well at least for a little while. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Authors Note.
