The next day, Lucinda was on the phone with Melissa about Aaron's dreams.

"My teacher said there isn't any real magic behind the dreams, but it's more like his memories are reaching out to him. Specifically, his memories of Aphmau." Lucinda explained, "He needs help with remembering everything else. The best thing to do is to help him and just let things happen with his dreams."

Melissa let out a sigh. She didn't like having to keep Aphmau a secret from Aaron, but if that's what they needed to do, so be it.

"Alright. Thanks, Lucinda." Melissa said, "Also, we think that Aaron's vision may be coming back slowly."

"Really?"

"Yeah. And Aphmau and Travis are coming back this week."

"WHAT?! Ugh! I wish I could be there to see them, but I can't! I have class!"

"That's ok. We can just facetime you when they come."

"Ok. Do you want me to ask my teachers about Aaron's blindness too?"

"If you want, that would be helpful. We're still not sure how permanent his blindness is."

"I will. Thanks for letting me know about Aph and Travis. I gotta go." Lucinda hung up.

Melissa went downstairs where everyone was waiting in the living room. They wanted to talk about what to do for Aphmau and Travis when they got back.

"Lucinda said Aaron's memories of Aph are reaching out to him through his dreams. It’s best that we leave his memories about her alone." Melissa said.

Everyone groaned. They didn't want to keep this kind of secret from Aaron. Aphmau is one of the most important people to Aaron.

"Can I just casually say her name whenever he's around?" Garroth asked.

Melissa glared at Garroth, "No!"

"Ugh. If it's the best thing for Aaron, then alright." Zane grumbled, "It's only a matter of time before he remembers her, right?"

"Exactly!" Kawaii-Chan said, "Maybe with Aphmau around, Aaron will remember faster."

"That's a good point." Katelyn mentioned, "So, what are we gonna do for Travis and Aphmau when they come back?"

"Kawaii-Chan suggests we throw a big welcome home party for them. They'll be so surprised!" Kawaii-Chan said.

"I think a party is a little too extreme after everything that's happened." Zane said.

"I have to agree with Zane on this one." Katelyn said. "They spent the past three months away from home with nonstop memories of Starlight. They need a break."

"I guess you're right." Kawaii-Chan said, sadly, "Can Kawaii-Chan at least make sweets for them? Like a cake or some cookies?"

"A cake actually sounds good right about now." Garroth exclaimed.

"Yay!" Kawaii-Chan face brightened up.

"Remember to use a chocolate substitute." Melissa reminded, "Werewolves can't have chocolate."

"I was actually planning on making a confetti cake." Kawaii-Chan said.

"Huh. You usually make chocolate cupcakes. Why should the cake be any different?" Zane asked.

"Since Garroth, Aaron, and Aphmau are werewolves, I thought I could use a flavor everyone could enjoy."

"Aw. That's very sweet of you, Kawaii-Chan." Garroth gushed.

"It just seems... out of place for you, you know." Zane said with his eyes shifting around a little.

Kawaii-Chan playfully smirked, "You were looking forward to chocolate cupcakes, were you?"
