It was Valentine's Day and it was the worst the day of my life. Instead of being out on a date with my now ex boyfriend , I'm laying here listening to Trey Songz "Fumble." To say I was depress would be an understatement. My moms walked in my room "you okay baby girl?" I'm fine mom I just want to be left alone. My mom leaves my room and shuts the door behind herself . As I was laying down in bed I decided to hit up an old friend. I grabbed my phone off my night stand and started scrolling to find his name to text him.
Me: Long time no talk Huh?
Nathaniel: You got a boyfriend on a nigga so I fell back.
Me: yeah ... Well so much for that . I missed you though
Nathaniel : you and ol' dude broke up ? I missed your big head ass too.
Me: yup !
Nathaniel : call me
I ended up calling Nathaniel and we stayed on the phone ALL night catching up. I had totally forgot that I had school the next morning. When 6 o'clock came around my phone started quacking letting me know it was time for school. I sleepily made my way into the bathroom did my hygiene thing and then put on my uniform. I was tired af' and going through this breaking up was draining as hell. When I got to school I was just in a daze . I stayed to myself other than talking to my two good friends. Even with them I wasn't fully myself , I was still kind of quiet . "Damn Taylin I haven't seen you crack a smile all day." Ashley says . I know I'm just not feeling it today I'm sorry you guys. I was sitting in my fourth period class when Nate texted me.
Nate: good morning
Me: morning
Nate: how are you ?
Me: I'm good just taking it day by day
Nate: that's all you can do. But I'm here to help you get through it. But hmu after school. I didn't reply I just slid my phone back into my back pocket. I smiled at the fact that he said he was there to help me get through this shit. But then all of a sudden a feeling of guilt rushed over me. Because I totally put him on the back burner for a nigga that I thought was down for me. But truth be told Nate was the one that was down for me I was just to damn blind to see it.
