A look at the other fillies while me and Eric wait for California crime to arrive with alex. About time alex I say to him after he walks past me with California crime into the saddling paddock. I notice that California crime is easily the smallest filly here. All the other fillies are at least the size of your average thoroughbred or taller but California crime is smaller than your average pony. As I wait by California crime for them to call riders up I talk to Alex. Finally after what seems like forever they call riders up so I say bye to Alex and hop up on to California crime as alex leads us out of the saddling paddock to the track for the post parade. As we all go into the starting gate all the fillies behave themselves. I pat California crime real quick on the neck before I grab the reins. California Crime just shakes her head and stomps one foot as we wait for the race to start. Finally after what seemed like forever we all hear what we have been waiting for. The bell.
