On Track | Hyunin

"Have you guys seen Shin Jimin lately?" Hyunjin asked, ever since the incident with her last week, he hadn't seen her in school at all. He was walking home with Felix and Changbin from dance club, subconsciously taking a longer route to avoid bumping into Minho

"No, I think she transferred a while back actually..?" Changbin responded, putting an arm around Felix's shoulder since he kept trying to run off.

"But.. she was at school a couple days ago.." Hyunjin said, furrowing his brows.

"Are you sure it was her? Could've just been a girl that looked like her."

"No.. I'm sure. Whatever, she was probably visiting or something." Hyunjin dismissed.

Changbin nodded as they continued walking before Felix gasped, "Oh, Hyunjin! Minho hyung wanted me to ask you something."

Hyunjin stiffened at the olders name, forcing a smile, "What was it?" He asked nonchalantly, or at least he tried.

"He thinks you're avoiding him and wanted to ask why but never got the chance to so he told me to ask."

"Avoiding him? Why would I do that? He's my best friend." Hyunjin cringed at the 'best friend', trying his best to not seem suspicious.

"Did you guys fight or something?" Changbin asked.

"What? No.. I've just been busy!"

"You two don't even walk to school together anymore, something's definitely wrong."

"I.." Hyunjin looked away, he couldn't think of any more excuses, "I don't want to talk about it."

Changbin and Felix exchanged glances before nodding and starting up a random conversation.

Hyunjin on the other hand was lost in his thoughts. He couldn't ignore Minho forever, but he had no idea how he was even supposed to face him.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow I will confront him. Oh god, what if we fight? What if he gets mad and never talks to me again? But he has no right to be mad at me! I'm the one who sh-

"Hyunjin?" Felix called, interrupting his thoughts, "We're going now."

He looked up to see they were standing on front of his house, "Oh, yeah okay. I'll see you guys tomorrow." The two nodded, walking away while Hyunjin entered the house.

He dropped his bag by the door, walking into the kitchen. He had barely spoken to Jeongin since the kiss, only awkward exchanges despite the fact they lived together.

Hyunjin still couldn't figure out his feelings. He knew he had a crush on Peichen, but why would he kiss Jeongin? And why did he enjoy it so much?

"Hyung?" His thoughts were interrupted by Jeongin, who had come downstairs at the sound of the front door opening.

"H-hey, what's up?"

"A letter came for you.. I left it on your desk." The younger replied, avoiding Hyunjins eyes as he spoke.

Hyunjin nodded and quietly thanked him before going up to his room, leaving Jeongin alone in the kitchen.

Hyunjin had too much going on, too much happening all at once that he couldn't sit down and focus on one thing.

But Jeongin could. And he did.

He was sad. Sad that Hyunjin barely acknowledged him anymore, and that the kiss they shared probably meant nothing to him.

Jeongin liked Hyunjin, he liked him so much and it hurt so bad that the older clearly didn't like him back.

Every day was the same, Hyunjin would come home, greet Jeongin and go to his room and they wouldn't speak until dinner time, which only lasted about 10 minutes as Jeongin was beginning to eat less and less.

It was suffocating, he needed an escape. He hadn't even noticed the tears that trickled down his face until he reached up to wipe them away, sighing.

Jeongin left his phone on the kitchen table and walked out the door, not bothering to leave a note as he figured Hyunjin wouldn't even notice his absence.

It was already getting dark, due to the short winter days. He forgot his jacket, but that was the least of his concerns at this point. He kept walking along the road until he reached a bridge that ran across a large river, a place he visited often when he needed to clear his head.

So so so so sorry for the late update!!!!!!!! I just haven't had much motivation or ideas for this story, but I promise I'll try harder!!
