My COVID journey

Before school was cancelled

I honestly don't remember much about this time. I remember having a big performance. I was stage manager and it was hard work but fun. at the cast party, we sang Les Miserables songs and this big guy played Fantine and it was hilarious. I also saw the middle school play which was also fun. The work wasn't difficult because everyone knew that the pandemic was going to hit us at some point. I did fail my maths test which was a big op but oh well. My friend group was trying to spend a lot of time together after it hit the country we live in. 

Our school was one of the first to get shut down. The last week of school we had no extracurricular activities and everyone was slightly miffed. Me and my friend had this conversation which looking back at I think it was quite funny.

Me: It was cancelled FYI

Her: oof that's disappointing

Me: yeah, all it is is a pandemic they need to chill the hell out

Her: yea ik but theyre also worried that if we dont stop meeting with everyone else then well like die but like everyone sits in the same chairs idk why they just havent cancelled school

Me: same, if the gonna cancel after school activities they might as well cancel school.

Her: exactly like whats the point of being here. a lot of kids are actually going to adults saying things like uhh do you think corona wakes up at 3pm let us have no school

Me:yeah ive heard that. its kinda funny

Her: agreed but at the same time there-is nothing the teachers can do

Me: yea

Her: I honestly hope we have online school 

Oof big mistake. We were not aware just how bad online school would be. but when I reread that I thought it was hilarious just how stupid we were.
